Your review was interesting and entertaining. It doesn’t sound like the book would be. I laughed at the book’s “I thought they would suck without Steve Howe but actually 90125 is pretty good” (my paraphrase) quote. The writing sounds like it was quite amateur…

Yeah I mean - it's self-published. So it's going to be not-good, although I will say there's at least a few self-pub'ed novels I've read that were okay and even entertaining. This is not one of them. But because it makes use of that particular legacy I am especially bummed it's bad.
