  • ABWH "Sarm Demos" with some clean up

The 1990 SARM Demos were the earliest recorded demos from Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman and Howe for the upcoming tentative "Dialogue" project. Eventually, many of these songs would find their way to the Yes album "Union." The SARM Demos are of great …

Elias is not among my top favourite people, but listening to these demos, he really kept the best of them for Union, and to make it full length album, it was a good idea to fill it with YesWest songs. Lidt Me Up, Miracle of Life, not to mention More We Live are all better than the left of song ideas. Maybe Do It to Tell has some good parts, but the beginning/end is kind of simplistic, maybe for the charts. Saving My Heart was better suited for that.

I agree there, and I think he got a lot of blame for that album since is not a fan favorite. I think he should get praise for the album being as good as it is, because he was brought into something that was a real mess, and it's not like he wrote the songs. He brought order to the chaos and turned it into a cohesive record, and I don't think many other producers would have had the patience.

Seems ok to me, but if this comes from a musicassette, who knows?

Interesting. I’d love a download of this version.

I downloaded the video from the OP, if you just want to hear it once or twice out of curiosity this is for you.
The video content is like animated cover art, showing the titles as a song plays, the file size is small but/so the audio is low resolution & there's no option for higher res on that website.
If you, like me, need the best sounding version of this dodgy sounding recording of unknown provenance, go to Forgotten Yesterdays, there are 2 audio only versions with much larger file sizes.

and page down a lot until you see 1990.
SARM (& Dialogue) demos are there.

Specifically I would love a high quality download of the demixed version in the video. I all ready have the one on Forgotten Yesterdays.
