    LOCKED AND LOADED

Son has ordered it for me online. Just a nostalgic trip. Was senior year at High School. Long hair. Star Wars. Pre Aids. Good times. Oz film industry was killin' it. The wider world beckoned....adventures to come...

If I was a detective, I would guess whoever threw the tomato at the cover was left-handed. Lookin' at the seeds splayed direction. A left hander.

I happen to love Tormato, one of the few and proud.
Me too. It was my first 70's Yes cd ! I remember hearing that bass in Future Times/Rejoice, and being blown away... And tripping out how (good) weird Arriving UFO was, and how beautiful Onward was. An album of extremes.

And to be fair that has to be a consideration when it comes to archival projects.

YMP is a work of love, so I suspect this book will be as well: hence I have one ordered direct for a late Christmas present.

As regards , the album : I have always loved it , as I remember buying it from the local record shop on the day of its release. The Wembley arena ‘78 Saturday Matinee performance was also my first Yes concert seen live. And I taped the first BBC Friday night Rock show with Tommy Vance which of course had the Yes Saturday evening performance playing. So lots of special memories of Yes around that time

I know they transferred the analog tapes to digital years ago, and there are multiple versions of OTSWOF. Not sure if they solved the Dolby issue before transferring, but there are digital multi-tracks available for re-mix... I believe some in the camp think it's monetarily not worth the effort and not enough fan demand. I'd be happy to remix it, or buy a copy !

    FOREWORD BY OLIVER WAKEMAN

"I still remember the day Dad lugged home this new bit of kit. The Birotron. Said he had invested all his money in the company. Mum didn't talk to him for a month.
Each morning I would help him carry it out to the 3rd best Rolls Royce which he would drive to the studio.
Often complaining to me that Mr Howe would leave him no space for his soloing. Mum would always pack him a ploughman's lunch with a few tomatoes. We didn't know then how fateful that decision by her would become. But I've already said too much. Go on and read the book yourselves. Relive the glory days."

After reading for years how bad Tormato was, I was amazed how much of it I liked when I finally found a copy in 1991. Looking forward to the book.

    Auto buy for me.

Happily remember listenin' to it and readin' the lyrics.
Didn't mind the cover. Just happy to have new YES music. OTSWOF is one of my all time faves. Great to see YES return it to the setlist. Albeit without the amazin' first 90 seconds....

    ELEVENTH ILLUSION

    was the workin' title.

Do we find out what that was all about?

People will care less about your 32 years in publishing/knowledge of the industry if all it did was turn you into an asshat (which, I trust, deep down, you aren't). If you really do have some insight that might be useful, now's an opportunity. Otherwise, I (at least) am done here.

And to be honest there *are* companies out there who wll publish obsessive texts. No reason why anyone these days should ay for their own publications if it's not photocopies
