  • Rumor on Facebook has the album titled The Blind Owl

I never did get to the bottom of this back in 2018... "Artist Roger Dean, known for his album artworks for Yes and Asia, has created a series of six stamps for the Isle of Man Post Office.

One stamp features a new painting called Meeting Place, inspired by the Isle of Man’s landscape. Another called Blind Owl Late Landing uses artwork from the as-yet-unreleased Yes album Blind Owl."

trying to get more info it doesn’t have the sam ring as Snowflower Elder but it could work

The Owl Pass was the name of a Roger exhibition at Tradin' Boundaries a while back. Feature TQ cover on the poster. At the time I wondered if that was an alternate title. TQ is a tad too generic for me. But this new info. Don't know what to make of it?

The Blind Owl is the updated name of the 20 minute YesWest epic known as Time, and it is the centerpiece of the new album they’ve been working on. Steve recorded new guitar for it to replace Trevor Rabin and he is also handling lead vocals with harmony vocals from Jon D and Billy. Geoff plays synths and adds some vocoder bits (“hoo, hoo” like an owl) with Tony Kaye rocking the Hammond. Original bass and drums from Chris and Alan will be on the track, but in a nod to Trevor Rabin they will be digitally manipulated beyond recognition like they were on Talk, and people will speculate that it’s actually Billy and Jay.

Isn't this an old painting? Maybe it was the 'planned album' before 'The Quest' which they decided to postpone till they could play in room together

Perhaps the person who put out the press release for (or article about) the stamps simply assumed a name for an album based on the name of the painting. There may not have actually been a Yes album with that working title.
"A lot of the heavier conversations I was having with Chris toward the end were about his desire for this thing to go forward. He kept reiterating that to me. [...] He kept telling me, 'No matter what happens, Yes needs to continue moving forward and make great music. So promise me that that's something you want to do.'. And I have to keep making music. It's just what I do. [...] I'm a fan of the band and I want to see it thrive and that means new music." -Billy Sherwood

Brilliant. Snorted out loud at the vocoder joke. Well played sir! 😝

I thought I’d seen it in Dragon’s Dream, the as yet latest Dean book, but it’s not there. Which would make it more recent than ca 2007.

Will Davison be credited as “Guano” if they use that album name?
                    Not on Yes' payroll.

The Blind Owl - What if Juano’s bird in the hand was too heavy to ascend?
