I have no idea. I don't use the term. You seem to like it as a template though, and that's fine. I don't care. I like the music on ABWH. It has brightened my days when they've been dark. Still does. That album means a lot to me. Your opinion means nothing to me. Big Generator means nothing to me.

Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

A Big Disappoint more like. After the bright start of 90125 there was this interminable wait and for what? There are a mere two tracks that I like, Holy Lamb which echos the classic band and the most atypical Yes track Almost Like Love. The rest I find dreary and hard work. A house point each for the two tracks I do like is quite generous.

A 1980s review of Chez Nous! Has anyone here ever eaten there? I used to live nearby but was a student on a low budget at the time.

You’re a bellwether. If you think it’s crap it’s a sure sign it has something going for it. Likewise the opposite.

4 stars from me. I think this is the one Yes album that has grown the most on me in the past decade or so. Shoot High Aim Low is brilliant. That song is in my top 10 favourite Yes songs of all time. Contrary to most I love the roughness and sort of quirkiness of the title track. I'm Running is fantastic and probably one of the most intricate tracks this line up has recorded. Holy Lamb for me is the weakest track of the bunch, but I've even learned to like that one. Great album all together.

I certainly agree that "I'm Running" was the pinnacle of YesWest, Can't compare to Teakbois though

I can't help it - Teakbois is everywhere!

Coincidentally, I listened to both I'm Running and Teakbois while driving to work today. Great stuff! Put me in a good good mood.

If, hypothetically, forced to choose between listening to something from Big Generator or something from Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe, I'd have no hesitation in choosing the latter. This is because I like the latter but not the former. It's not 'better' than, simply preferred by my old ears.

Is that a nice way of saying bellend?
