So how does TR tour this new album. Seems the album will be a huge success but at the end of the day he won't fill places up. No ARW here. Going to be another LIVE IN LA type of thing with a live album drop afterwards?

Interesting question. I'd love to see him if he comes around here.

I don’t think he wants to tour, and I don’t think Trevor is capable of touring anymore. And I say that with no disrespect at all. His voice live doesn’t have the range he can achieve in the studio. His hand is not doing well (needs some sort of brace?). And he’d need to play along to backing tracks for have a dozen people in his band to recreate all the parts. Not happening.

His 1989 solo tour was smaller type venues then, so I doubt he would play anything larger than that now or even want to. If he does anything live it would be a few shows at most I would think. I saw him at Peabody's in Cleveland in '89 and that was a great show

Didn't he say he'd like to tour with the album? That would be great, but touring and wanting to tour (see Arc Of Life, DBA, many a solo project) is a whole other thing. He may not have time due to more soundtrack commissions. He probably would tour if it was fun and not too much of a hassle to do it. As for those saying he's not up to par for live work because of vocal issues or his playing can't cut it, I dunno - last time I saw him with ARW he was fine. Not sure of whatever limitations he has, but the new songs sound very good.

If he does tour, then where? What kind of venue? Would he even fill a place? Maybe a Ram's Head or House Of Blues type venue more so than the theater/pavilion type place Yes does these days?

Count me in if he does come around me and bonus points to him if he releases a Live In LA type disc from the tour.

He could tour if he wanted, but at 69 years of age, he may not have the stamina nor the will to do that.

But finding touring musicians might be a more significant issue. But . . . he's done it before, so who knows?

Would he have the drawing power? He certainly can't fill stadiums, but I'm sure he could sell out theaters and clubs.

Set list? Well, in addition to whatever tracks on Rio might be suitable transitioning to a live presentation, he's also got plenty of solo material and material he did with Yes and Rabbitt. No problem.

set list? I could realistically picture:

              Intro
              Big Mistakes
              Hold On
              Something To Hold On To
              -new song-
              -new song-
              Eyes Of Love
              Changes
              -new song-
              something from Jacaranda/Lou drum solo
              -acoustic solo/ Solly's Beard
              Push
              Make It Easy/
              Owner Of A Lonely Heart
              The Calling
              Can't Look Away

              encore

              Lift Me Up
              Love Will Find A Way

In time, let's see how close I was...

He did mention in his latest PROG interview he was up for touring, although he said the same thing about Jacaranda.

From what I've heard and read so far of Rio it seems like a true studio effort and it seems like it would be hard to translate it to a stage. Push for instance has so many guitar layers going on in some parts of the song one would need three guitar players on stage to replicate it.

Right. I think he says these things because he knows it's what people want to hear, but if he did actually go though with it I would be very very suprised.
