I'm Running is clearly no. 1. The rest would be ARW live tracks unless live performances are not eligible.

        I'll say:

        I'm Running
        Miracle Of Life
Big Generator - nice tricky dicky pyrotechnics on this, TR goes all EVH or Dweezil Zappa
Endless Dream or maybe something else from Talk
Solly's Beard - as good as any Howe acoustic solo and better than some

No, nothing from 90125 actually - I think his guitars sounded more inventive and interesting on his post-90125 Yes albums, though he still sounded good on 90125 too.

…breaking the rules a bit because I’m allowing his songwriting to influence my list

"Purely from a guitar playing point of view", wait, not singing, then, too/or?

Well anyways, I think it would have go like this:
                    1. I'm Running
                    2. The Calling
                    3. Hearts
                    4. Miracle of Life (afraid this one gets overlooked a lot, tucked away on Union as it is, but it's long been a fav in my household. Well, my little corner of my household, I suppose…)
                    5. Holy Lamb (no pyrotechnics, but it is perfect, and just a beautiful note to end the album on)
