Listening to this today - it really is quite lovely (and sometimes jarring). The range of sounds and emotions transcends the "guy working alone in his garage" album this could have been. Not an album I will go to on a regular basis, but a good choice for a sombre moody day.

BTW, not an endorsement of the album's implicit politics. I think it can be enjoyed as a heartfelt and sombre piece of music commemorating a tragic event without engaging with the political aspect. My main complaint is - needs more HAMMOND! The bits of Hammond that are there are very tasty.

I got it when first came out. Tony does a great job with all the different emotions throughout this piece of music. It really works best as listening to as a whole. It can be an uneasy, unsettling listen at times, which I do think he was going for. For me the track Hope And Triumph is my favorite.
