I think it must have been very difficult for them to plan the album. They would have perhaps had to have cleared a 4-6 month schedual to write and record while all in the same room each day and perhaps they are not financially secure enough to do that. And really for what purpose, as Yes fans will only ever compare new material to old material , with the new stuff inevitablty coming off second best.Comment

In the early weeks/months of the ARW era, I thought - and hoped - that the existence of the two active "Yes" bands might spark both groups to record an amazing album, so as to have a competitive edge over the other band.
But ARW didn't make an album, and the official Yes released The Quest. So I was totally wrong with my thought that a competitve dynamic would lead to some great new music. I did enjoy the gigs, though, so I am happy that it happened.Comment

Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.Comment

That would be interesting. It couldn’t have been that dead in there that they couldn’t capture some crowd charm. There was excitement at the shows I saw. It wasnt crazy. Was like a yes show, somewhat laid back with a few outburst here and there.Comment

UK audiences tend not to whoop and whistle and applaud while the band are actually playing...Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.

So in an article dared 25th January Rick says he is "having lunch with Steve in a couple of weeks" yet in the interview dated 22nd February he says he hasn't seen any of the band since the Hall of Fame induction and doesn't even hint at a potential dinner date.
Now I know the interviews might be done some time in advance but unless there is something seriously adrift with time lines I smell a curried rat.👍 1Comment
