New video: Here We Go Again

Agit-prop rocker that kicks in from the get go and doesn't let up. Aims at Putin's insanity and doesn't miss. Well produced video with some genuine LOL moments. Bravo to all involved. Tommy Calton is main collaber.

Is that a little quote from "That, That Is" at 0:15-0:18 and elsewhere?

The song is not bad at all. The video looks very rushed / amateurish / cringey ... Strange to see Jon turning into a political protest song singer after Screw Yourself. A whole album might be building up here...And finally I'm EXTREMELY shocked to see there are so many Trump supporters among his fans on Facebook, complaining that Trump is present as Putin's buddy or little doggy in the video. He did say the attack was a genius move didn't he ? Some US people seem to discover that Jon could have an anti-war stance !

I think people are surprised to see Jon being overtly political, but I would argue that his work has contained social commentary for almost the whole of his career. If he feels it's necessary to be more obvious about it now, well, I don't take issue myself.

I'l respectfully disagree about the "video looks very rushed / amateurish / cringey": I think that reducing the Russian troops and Putin to characterish stereotypes is quite appropriate, and gives the video the added sarcasm the song needs for maximum effectiveness.

Turning into...? He's always been a political protest song singer.

The best things I can say about it: I agree with the sentiment. It’s nice to have a Jon lyric without his usual catch phrases. And I like the guitar solo.
              That’s it.

Crawling out of dirty holes, their morals disappear

Harold Land with a wave of his hand

stand and fight we do consider

peaceful lives will not deliver freedom

this is a song/video rushed out in mocking white hot anger. Deliberately. Does not claim to be the definitive nuanced summation of the whys and wherefores. Time for that. Mockery is a powerful weapon against dictators as the Marx Brothers showed. Putin and his cronies are dangerous but also buffoonish as displayed here.

The level of anger expressed by my family, friends and casual conversations in the street, at the checkout feels wholly different this time. Where does Europe and the world go from here?

Yeah, it's good. A catchy song with a message. Well done Jon.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised if Putin showed up in SoCal…
Amen.

Is there a good plastic surgeon out there he can use to hide his identity?

The song is decent, and the video is great.

Oh my - I have no issue with Anderson wanting to sing about issues or current events, if he wants. But it's not a strong piece of music. It's not as bad as Go Screw Yourself, but it's hard to believe this is the same person who created Close To the Edge and so many other pieces of music in the 70's. It's perplexing.

Could be. Lyrics aren't up on Google yet but sounded like it.

"That life is just a worrying..." TTI

yeah, short repetitive song but extend it with a slow bit or key change and it could be a punchy, catchy Police-like toon. Has promise.
