Thanks! I don’t mind the badgering. Better than skirting round the issue. Too bad about 1000 hands part two delayed. (That and the other 100+ Jon projects that haven’t materialized yet… )
Hope that old song he picked up again is released. I wonder if it was one of those that failed to impress Squire, Howe etc back in ca 2004…

'In my mind, I'm still in the band,' says Anderson - That is so Jon...
Nice interview and thanks for sharing it Henry. I'm super happy Jon is touring with band mates that love and appreciate him and I think it shows in their performance. I could do without Mind Drive and I'll file the rest of his setlist talk under "I'll believe it when I see it" but it sure does sound fun.

Jon was very diplomatic as the interviewer was trying hard to get him to take the low road, as he did when he interviewed Benoit. Interesting he says regarding Steve, "you never know". Just makes me think how lame it is Steve won't let the co-creater of the band, healed up voice of Yes, be in his own band. Pretty sad, especially at this point.... The clock is ticking- After hearing Jon sing a lot lately, I'm reaffirmed Steve needs to call his thing Steve's Yes Experience. It's like looking at an orange Ford truck, and someone says, no, it's a silver Porsche. Hey, orange Ford's are pretty cool, but c'mon....Last edited by Somis Sound; 04-04-2023, 02:37 PM.

Jon, always the victim. Man made millions doing what and when he wanted. Others guys hard to work with at times, but putting up with less pay and a whole lot of flakiness is hard to take, too.
Because of everything, YES continues in one form or another. Add in the endless varieties of shows, tours, bands and projects, YES is and has been a far greater sun if it’s parts. Everyone is dying off. It has been a great ride for any fan who expanded their listening, with all he guys. Many of us are almost done as well. Or should I say different financial priorities. Covid has been very hard. And while I don’t like the current crap out there, nor do I know anyone of the million sing or records played current artists on award shows, nor do I want to, esp. that hoe who flipped up her card dress to expose her nasty self to the audience- there, I wrote it ;-), I am happy artists are still drawing people in, like my own daughter, and others.

What happened to Jon must have really sucked. I see it from both sides: the band mates, frustrated with Jon’s diva behavior and inability to perform (at the time), and Jon, feeling betrayed after getting booted from the band he confounded, by his cofounder, his best man from his wedding, and the guy he wrote most of the iconic Yes songs with.
But at this point, he seems to have made peace with the situation, and I’m glad he’s assembled a band to tour with. I wish him nothing but the best.

Fascinating interview. The interviewer rather badgers Anderson about his feelings towards Howe's band, but Jon stays diplomatic.

Other news: Jon suggests 1000 Hands: Chapter Two now due next year, which is disappointing.

Hopefully Steve will be able to keep up. Let’s hope Rabin’s Rio is a winner too. This could be a good year for Yes fans.
