  • New interview with Jonners

I've not listened to it, just read the transcript which hasn't been done very well.
I love how his joy and unceasing enthusiasm for life and music still burns bright.
I'm prompted to listen to Sibelius's 7th again.

Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

It's an interesting interview - jumps from the old days to the present with not a lot of Yes in the mix. Bit cheeky for them to advertise him as Yes vocalist, rather than ex-Yes, but I guess it's fair enough. And I confess doesn't make mne want to see his schoolbiz shows either.

The most interesting part for me was when Jon spoke about his upcoming tour with the Band Geeks. Jon recounts an exchange with Ritchie Castellano and says, “Why don’t we go on tour?” “With you?” I said, “Yeah, with me. We could go on tour and do the classics and the epics.” Because I’ve always wondered, nobody’s going to play the epics like they could be played.

Sounds like a bit of a shot at Steve and Co.

Just about every time I listen to Yesmusic, he's the vocalist.

          He's not wrong.

Nice interview and thanks for sharing it Ash. I would definitely go see a Band Geeks show if it were manageable but sadly that's not the case.

The Band Geeks nail it.... Add Jon to the mix? That's some high performance Yes love.
