    a little Style Icon tribute

...from Sam Kiszka of Greta Van Fleet. This is what he wore to the last show of the band's current tour (last night in Sacramento) and apparently he hasn't played this particular bass before on the tour (he usually plays a P-bass). But it's too bad he didn't complete the look with a nice collar-style necklace. It was the pleated "gills" on one side that really got me, like, my brain woke up and said FISHY! I will say that in true Fishy fashion, Sam was entirely coordinated, because he wore a sword pendant necklace to match the sword embroidery on his suit.

He’s playing a Rick with what looks like a maple fingerboard. His brother Josh has got that Jan Brady chic vibe going.

Josh has really developed a look this tour with his hair and the makeup. The jumpsuits have been a thing for a long time, lol.

Thanks for posting those! 🤘 I’m quite a big GVF fan as well; it’s nice to see them getting a little love here as well. IMHO, they are a great band who are still on their way up, despite their popularity already being quite high now.

Their next album/tour should be the one that kicks in the door in terms of attaining a much wider audience. You can feel that they are right on the verge of making it very big.

Yes, they've said recently that they're going back to their roots with Starcatcher, and from hearing the new songs they played at the last gig it really does seem that way. I think I'm going to love it!

Saw them live twice this last year. They put on a good show! Waiting patiently for the new album.

It appears he's lip syncing or something. Nice bass and outfit though.

I think the audio was out of sync with the video because I've watched other audience vids that didn't do this - GVF don't use tapes.

Great band, have seen them a couple of times. One of the better rock bands I’ve seen since the 70’s.

                            On youtube now.

Rousin' song. Pretty damn good. Starts pastoral-proggy, a touch celtic, moody then builds and builds to a great last half. Raucous. Loud. Yet. Still very musical.

Can see why there's a buzz about these Michigan dudes. Singer has a set of lungs.

Liked it a lot. Must be a great festival performer.

Yeah I really like it, though I knew I would. It does harken back a bit to their previous sound but continues in the aesthetic of The Battle at Garden's Gate. Knowing where it lies in the tracklist, I'm now pondering what it means to the overall concept.
