No, you had to pay 30 pounds to view the livestream. I think you can still pay and get access to the recording for the next couple of days. https://www.tradingboundaries.com/co...p=ch6lfunpslwsComment

Bill is and always has been a great guy, and YES ambassador. Yes , he made some comments about old YES-fans when he was doing Earthworks.
I love all music including jazz, and I played trumpet in Jazz Lab along with every other musical band in school, but Earthworjs didnβt seem to be my thing. He played quite a bit in d.c. . Perhaps the electronic drums from ABW&H soured me a bit after several shows. I even have an autograph that was written to a great drummer and percussionist up in Edmonton, Canada also named Rob, who was gracious enough to send me on an Earthworks dvd.
Great for Bill to come out, but I am sure it was the camaraderie and increasing age, that was a great excuse to fo so in celebrating John.
I remember when someone posted pictures of Bill as the official ambassador to a group of YES-fans who visited a restaurant where they all use to practice fifty-years ago at that time, and the place has a special blue plaque.
Love Bill!Comment

I'm so surprised , I never had any expectation that Bill would play publicly for any reason. I'd wondered many times - when so much of your life is your instrument, and you walk away from it...do you miss it? I remember Bill speaking of Artie Shaw and it seemed that Bill admired that Shaw just put his instrument away forever one day. But I remember one interview from a few years ago, wherein Bill said that he would walk past the kit in his home and not want to play it. And I thought "why does Bill Bruford have a kit set up in his home, if he is finished playing?"
So I have wondered if he ever plays that kit at all. I have not seen this clip of him playing this week, even if it's the most simple playing you've ever seen, I find it exciting that he did it. Something tells me that, even on the simplest of tunes, he could not help but hit the snare on the two - and , when you thought he was going to hit the two. And in the next bar he didn't hit the snare at all. Just to surprise.
I don't have any need for Bill Bruford to resume his playing career, I know you can't re-create the historic versions of Earthworks or UK or Yes or Crimson, but I'd be thrilled to see him play again, because he has a gift. And if he plays at all, even if it is by himself and he enjoys it, then I think that is great.👍 1Comment

Well, Bill has repeatedly said in interviews that in the last decade or so he has has hardly touched a drumset. And I saw Dave Kilminster say on twitter that there were actually no rehearsals for the tribute concert, outside of some rehearsal for oneself. So taking these things into account I think people were lucky to hear Bill play anything at all.👍 1Comment
