Wembley 1978

It was 44 years ago today: Yes at Wembley Empire Pool, October 28, 1978, twice!

4 of us travelled down by train, arrived at the Pool by midday, discovered a few tickets remained for the matinee show, and as we had nothing better to do till the evening show, which we all had tickets for, we joined the queue. I asked for a £5 ticket nearest the (revolving) stage, and got second row with a group of Dutch fans who proceeded to get me very stoned.
We were up in the gods for the evening show, the one that the BBC recorded. What a Day!

Spent the night sleeping on Euston Station concourse, along with dozens of other fans... Happy Daze!

Wow!! That is flipping awesome!!!! This (those) is one of “thee” shows, if not “thee” show.

Have listened to the recording of that show a thousand times - and I don't think I've ever met anyone who was at that show. Lucky you!
