It looks like the contents of the much-maligned Union 30 boxset are being released individually over the next month or two. Much more preferable.

Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been. -
I don't know. You csn download those same shows for free at Forgotten Yesterdays, who gave Remy's collection, previously on his Yessongs site but which he retired, a home. And hardly, if any, work has been done on the sound for the official release. At least that was the case for the boxset. -
I'm still very much wedded to physical media. I don't have an album till I physically have the CD on my shelf, although I have thousands of albums of all kinds of music (and comedy and audiobooks) in my Amazon Music library. I'll be buying all of these releases, therefore.Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.

The one CD boxset that I do have an interest in is the “outtakes” one. Apparently this had 4CDs within the original boxset containing the following :

For those that are familiar with all of these recordings, which are the best ones quality-wise? Soundboard, broadcast, not audience recordings. I am interested in the individual releases if there are any worth having.Comment

The Denver and Mountain View shows are considered to be the best because they are pro-shot/recorded.Comment

I purchased the Yes Union Live Deluxe Edition 2DVD/2CD Box Set when it was originally released by Gonzo over 10 years ago. It included a DVD with the Mountain View show (only two hours of the 2 1/2 hour set list), and 2 CDs of the same show. The Bonus DVD had the Denver show and the Pensacola show, both complete concerts. While I don't have the other releases of the Yes Union 30 set, I agree that the Denver and Mountain View are excellent! Mountain View is more polished and the band were having fun on the last tour stop of that leg of the tour. . But I didn't notice that this show was part of the individual releases. Perhaps there are still available previously released versions of the show.
And even though the Denver show could be considered a notch below the Mountain View production, I like it better because they were playing "in the round" like most of the tour dates (Mountain View was more of a traditional stage) and it is the complete 2 hour 50 minute set. I love this show! I've pre-ordered the individual release of this show to get the 2 CDs of the show as well.
For the same reason I pre-ordered the Pensacola individual release--to get the 3 CDs that are part of the package--the show was 3 hours long. I was at this show which was the opening night of the world tour. The energy of the crowd and the band seemed to tear the roof off of the place. There are a few songs on here that were dropped from the next show or shortly thereafter. The video quality is definately an audience-shot bootleg with two cameras on opposite sides of the round stage. If you a Yes "near-completist," I would recommend this one as well for some of the above reasons.
I also pre-ordered the Bonus Tracks And Tour Extras, 1990-1991 4 CD set from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. (see previous post for details) Unfortunately, recently Amazon U.S. is stating that all of these releases are currently unavailable a week or so before the release date of August 12, 2023. Hopefully, it is because the demand was greater than expected and they produce more copies soon so that others may enjoy these shows....

Has anyone ordered any of the individual Union Live 30 releases from Amazon USA AND received them??? Release date was May 12th and I ordered copies of 3 of the shows on April 21st. Since the release date, there has absolutely no information on my account as to when they will ship. Only one of my purhases, the Denver show, is--as of yesterday--stating, "Expected delivery: Thursday, July 13, 2023 - Friday, July 14, 2023 by 10pm?
Or if you ordered and received any of the individual releases from a merchant in the USA other than Amazon.com and received the items, who did you order them from?

Just got the 'Bonus Tracks and Tour Extras 1990-91' 4 cd set from Amazon a couple days ago and have already listened to some of it. It actually came earlier than I thought it would, considering that it was available for preorder and then not available for a while.Comment
