I picked this little beauty up recently and it is exquisite from whatever angle you look at it.
It is unusual as it isn’t yet listed on Discogs. And although it is produced by an organisation called Whip Lash recordings, I can’t find anything about its provenance, which is a shame as its just a special item.
It is a triple LP mastered in 2019 using the source of Dan Lampinski famous recording of the entire 1977 Boston Garden show, plus a couple of extra songs to make the final side more complete. It is a limited edition of only 100 sets and I have number 50.
The sound quality is exquisite.
And then we have the presentation. It is a cool triple gatefold containing three differently marble coloured disks. There are some lovingly crafted inserts showcasing the background to the tour , the original taping and equipment used , and the careful remastering onto vinyl.
It is clearly been lovingly produced by a real Yes fan and is a perfect example of just how to package such a product. It puts the recent Gonzo Union package to shame.
It might just be my favourite bootleg vinyl record
