You and Alan are now the longest-standing members of Yes. Is it fair to assume the two of you pretty much call the shots?

“Yeah, we have a strength of opinion based on our experience, and we can bring light to the dark tunnel sometimes by saying we’ve been through all these things before. I’m sure Alan and I have voices that are going to be listened to. But this is a team. This does rely immensely on teamwork, and pretty much things have to run through people, and they have to agree irrespective of their period in the band.”

Interesting interview. I found his remark that they don’t play Owner because it’s the 80s band’s song sort of strange, considering he reportedly was the one who wanted to play it back in 2015. I think he was finally warming up to YesWest and then ARW came along and he soured on it again.

Also some sound advice for those who have trouble with the current lineup and keep glamouring for days of the past

"It’s quite mature to accept something. If you can’t accept a situation, you keep rattling the cage and all you’re going to do is make yourself unhappy – and other people.”

Well kind of. But I don’t like accepting second best.

I’m cool though with the fact you like the current line up.

It is also quite clear that having Anderson in the band with Howe is unlikely, so I am happy for YesO to continue and I will pin my hopes on an ARW final tour or Anderson linking in with some good musicians and touring Yes classics.

Time is running out, as the sad news of Mr. Meatloaf today just confirms

... like Steve Howe always accepted Yes-West and made no remarks over many years that it is no Yes and all that stuff? Those advices are said quite quick and easy, if you are interested in a certain position, but acctually they are very relative.

I’m very sad about this. My wife just told me. 😞. I know what I’ll be listening to later on. And a little Nugent with Meaoaf on lead also for old times sake. Damn.
Exactly. This is exactly why I have said enjoy what we get to see now also - a YesO show, or Jon with the Kids, or Rick solo......etc. don’t take it for granted.

Well in the last decade or two he most certainly has had positive things to say about Yeswest. So apparantly he has matured Now for some Yes fans to do the same

Well, aren't that the lukewarm kind of friendly things even me is able to say about Yes-Official, sometimes At least one can say that Yes has not so few unmatured fans

But yeah, it's ok, I also don't believe that Yes-Official will change much and can't do more about as to wish those who like it all the fun in the world. My very special maturing by the way in this case means that I don't go to the Relayer-show.

Thanks. I think this dates back to when the album was released and was published in the magazine, but has only now come to their website.
