Personally, I would prefer seeing Jon and Steve without carrying the YES name and I bet the duo would sell very well. Alas, am I just dreaming here?
yes requires 5 musicans to be played properly so no though I would check it out... now had you asked me in 2007 when yes was o hiatus then I would of said yes

    MMM...

Could we perhaps elicit a "co-headline" tour??

    JON ANDERSON *...and..."
    YES??

Perhaps the tension could deliver a similar result to what the 2002 SAMMY HAGAR / DAVID LEE ROTH joint tour did - and push BOTH co-headline acts to compete nightly for greatness??

(PS - And why not: a walk-on encore nightly where Jon AND Yes perform together on "Roundabout" or "Starship Trooper"?? It would sure bring fan excitement to hear those inevitable encores, at least... LOL)

I don't think they, but especially Jon, would do it for just relaxing and making music without earning a good pay day.

I don't think, apart from a mere few, Yes songs lend themselves well for acoustic treatment. They chose the right ones for the little acoustic set on the 2004 tour, but I think for instance the Anderson/Wakeman tour was far more about the sentiment of those two playing together than it was about actually delivering great acoustic versions of Yes songs. Most Yes songs aren't fully arranged with full instrumentation for nothing, it's prog rock, not snoozy sit by the fire hum along stuff.

So as far as the proposition from the OP goes I take the current line-up.

Of course there would. Jon's a lovely bloke, but whenever he's involved there are financial and control issues...

If they need additional musicians to support them (e.g. Sherwood, Pomeroy, Downes, O Wakeman or Schellen), that would be fine by me.

    All Acoustic? Yuk

I would love to hear a collaboration of Anderson and Howe as Yes or just as Anderson-Howe. I think they could still come up with something interesting.
