The second single will be Keep on Moving, which Chris discusses in the latest video on Facebook: https://fb.watch/m9Z-ZrCBuC/?mibextid=v7YzmG
The song features Francis Dunnery on vocals and guitar, and usual guitarist Dave Bainbridge contributes a keyboard solo.Last edited by JMKUSA; 08-02-2023, 03:35 AM.👍 2Comment

KEEP ON MOVING
groovy. Chris says it's a nostalgic, Summery, shimmery song and Prefab Sproutish.
Chris loves Cars and Girls, as he should! Definately a band I recommend YESheads and DBAers checkout.
Even that groovy MttS song Magic Potion reminds me of Prefab Sprout. The bass line. Jangly guitar.
Would love Paddy McAloon to collab with Chris or Steve and Juano. McAloon is a National Treasure.
The album I Trawl the Megahertz is a conceptual Prog classic. A latter day classic. 😁

Just realised Friday is in 6 1/2 hours.
Do I set the alarm to wake up at midnight and be the first in the world to see the new lyric video.???
Nah. I'm not crazy. I need my beauty sleep. 😉
At wakeup time tomorrow will do.

That new DBA album is barreling down the tracks towards us like a rusty old train with snapped brakes. New DBA, a new Trevor Rabin, hopefully Circa or some sorta Billy Sherwood album of some sort by the years end. Yes related stuff is soon to be explodin' all over the fall calendar. And all cool, rock/song stuff too. Bring it on 🚂🚂🚂🚂👍 3Comment

KEEP ON MOVING
Nice lush shimmery song. 6.36 mins long.
Credited to DBA and Francis Dunnery
Braide is still the lead vocalist. Minimal
singin' by Dunnery.
No views for video. Just audio. Not a lyric video.
First in the world to hear it. Heeeeheee 😁
Any nods to Cars and Girls yet? 🤔*
Yeah nice synth solo by Bainbridge.
* On further listenin'. OK the openin' notes might refer straight to Cars and Girls beginnin'. It's subtle but there.

Wowser! as Malcolm would use to say.
Beautiful, and warm. I need to hear this in a studio, a killer system or even headphones. Just on my phone, so much warmth. I closed my eyes in I was surrounded by warmth like a huge blanket of sound. I saw colors of yellow and orange. It was a bit like a beautiful origami piece wrapped up in so many folds and layers. This is their current sound, the DBA sound but even more amplified. Written around the same time as She’ll Be Riding Horses I would assume ( which I love that thought of in that storyline/ romantic storyline that never really exists, does it? ;-) ) but this is even more expanded and drawn out. I don’t know how much more warmth and color you can pull out of or produce a song with this many colors and warmth, and that is just one quick listen. Beautiful!
Now the beginning , might not be so relatable to the rest of the world. And it sounds a bit placed in the winter and sounds like a good commercial type music, but then it takes off. Maybe because it is late, past my bedtime, and the fact that I was excited to hear it, possibly pushes the love perhaps just a tad too much. But I don’t think so. Dave has a wonderful, wonderful keyboard solo. The production, mixing and sound is ungodly good/perfect and a great audio, studio surprise at the end.
Downes Braide Association certainly have an audio and production space all of their own. Wonder how many other treasures are on this album.?Two for two with these first two songs off the upcoming album .Last edited by luvyesmusic; 08-03-2023, 09:24 PM.👍 1Comment

Glad you liked it Rob. Hahahha
Yeah after 3 listens it just glows with warmth. The production on the vocals is just superb. Drenched. Echo . Warmth. Emotion. Like 10CC crossed with Al Stewart.
Chris seems like a romantic soul. Dreamy. Reflective with just the right mix of melancholy. A poet. Sensitive. He has some nice grit too in his voice this time.
So combine this voice with guitars and keys addin' to the richness and warmth.
Sounds like Dunnery and Braide are lookin' back to their small hometowns before the road called. I got chills with the final benediction Chris sings to his old friends and acquaintances......
"hope you're happy and your dreams came true"
Simple. And heartfelt. Understated. Human.
So glad Rob that you "get" this band and writers. They're not tryin' to impress with endless noodlin'. Mature, crafted pop-prog. Braide can write a chorus or verse as well as anyone. One of Britain's most successful co-songwriters for Beyonce, Sia, Lana del Rey....
Now to hear the epics from Celestial Songs....😯

Yes, the epics. ON TO THE EPICS.!
I love Steve, but he has upped, from what little I have heard, the noodling, the ascending and descending guitars and slide guitar on MTTS.
Only Time Will Tell if we get more detailed and longer production , snips and cuts taped together with Eddie, er Chris at the helm, with Celestial Songs, but the guitars and guitar sounds have yet to disappoint. Will the epics be a bit more proggy with key and tempo changes that take us on a journey? I don’t know if that would be wishful thinking, but Geoff , Chris and the other men have yet to disappoint. Will the two young Braides had their vocal talents, again, or will this be a all hands on deck of professional musicians this time. Marc Almond has always been, not the unknown factor, but you really can’t guess what and how he will contribute, but than we have Frank up on deck ready to take his swing to also knock it out of the park with vocals.
The good thing, there are still plenty of offerings for every fan out there to purchase. DBA is pulling at my heart and purse strings. I’ve got my front row for YES, but pretty good chance I will spend just a little more to be wearing a Celestial Songs shirt to the show.👍 1Comment

Ok. Just woke up to watch the actual video. Not a lyric video though. He sings " of Brucey's dreams " and a mustang car is shown so perhaps that's the nod to Prefab Sprouts' Cars and Girls? 🤔
Again it's one of those DBA videos of old home films, holiday films, bits of old movies, the odd glimpse of Geoff lookin' poignant on a train, Chris and his boys out and about. Streets of LA. NY. London.
But the vibe is the warm nostalgia of more innocent days before the Dark Side of Fame 😉
I remember those days. Piddington Street. The neighbours. The Langridges. The Rosses. Cindy their dog. Who kept me company late at night listenin' to my drunk teenage ramblings. The girls. One whose initials I carved in that tree. The farm. The cows. The kangaroos. The summers. The heat. Had to keep on movin' but hope they're all happy and their dreams came true. 😁
