Maybe Asia’s Heat of the Moment with Howe and Downes inspired Yes to come out with a song that could become a number one hit. Howe has no problem with playing songs from the band’s first two albums.
    Not on Yes' payroll.

PM Modi was here the other day woopin' it up with PM Albo who said he got a louder reception at Qudos Arena than Bruce Springsteen.

Was Minister for Gudjaret in 2002 when 1,000 Muslims were killed by riotin' Hindus. BBC made a doco about it which is forbidden to be shown in India.

Perhaps not the systems themselves, but yeah, as Gilly notes - the history is long and bloody. Partition was a thing.

            Teakbois—now that was cultural appropriation.

Seriously, though, Close to the Edge has the most Christian imagery of any Yes album. It borrows (perhaps shallowly, I’m not sure) from a lot of traditions. Neither it nor Tales appropriates anything from any culture, as far as I can tell. I’m pretty sure no one is trying to “cancel” Yes. At least I hope not.

Partition was between Muslims and Hindus. Muslims wanted their own country. Nothing to do with Buddhism.
