So I suppose he averages a song an album, but he's not exactly idle. He pumps out DBA material, that may be where a lot of his songwriting goes. That's not so bad, with Yes he's sharing space with three or four other writers. With DBA, it's a duo - generally one other writer.
It would be nice to get another NDO album from him at some point. Bring me some futuristic electronic tone poem ala The Light Program, I'll be happier than a swine rolling around in its own hind waste. NDO!
It's the 50th Anniversary of Tales and YESsongs. So that's what I expect + some new music.
So Relayer gets swept under the rug...? The one Yes activity I was really excited about !
If they play Sound Chaser and To Be Over I might still attend. Really like to hear Furue Times too ! I did hear this line up play Gates of Delirium and lets just say my socks remained on. No need to include that one. This line up did impress me when they played Drama, especially Into The Lens. I believe I met you outside before the Santa Barbara show? I was hanging with some locusts.

If that's the case it's this or nothing at all for me:
Siberian Khatru
Cut from the Stars
I've Seen All Good People
Tempus Fugit
Heart of the Sunrise
Looking Around
The Ancient
INTERMISSION
And You And I
Perpetual Change
All Connected
The Remembering
ENCORE
Hold On
Roundabout
Thank you for posting this.
Geoff has provided me with so much happiness over the decades with his music, and it still continues.
One of the nicest guys in “show business” as well. I have had the opportunity to hang out and spend time with folks that run the gammet of all aspects of life. Hanging out with an international terrorist in his home, with newspaper clippings on the wall may have been my least favorite, unintended encounter. Bully on folks I knew who should have told me.
First met Geoff ( and Carl ) at a blindingly bright outside ASIA meet & greet. A regular guy, who just happened to be one of my musical heroes. I had even bought an analogue workstation because of Geoff, and I am no keyboardist, back in the day.
Sure touring can be boring, and there is time to kill, but not everyone is into the m & gs. I think the next time I got to hang out with Geoff, just about everyone had left, except me and some of the band. Casual us always best. Then several interactions with Brianos/Brian and we had broken the inner circle. Geoff interested in Brian’s music, and remembering us both. An invite to the DBA show, and a follow up from management when another date was added, because the knew I had to be at work for the first show. Geoff asking me what was I doing in St. Charles, Ill for a couple of shows. Asking me later in d.c. if I needed my fifty book signed? Hanging out with him and Alan for as bit after an Atlantic City show, and then some of the YES hardcore women. Having the tour manager spot me, and talk with him for a while, and then having Geoff call me by name at the m & g, and this last tour without my buddy Brian who was meeting his first grandchild, with no m & g, we spotted each other, and he came back and talked with me for several minutes before going on stage. Guy is a gem! First member of YES to sign my plate at XM studios .
All that aside, it has been Geoff’s work throughout the years ( it is still going you know! ) that has brought me so much joy, and happy memories. I love his stuff with John, and Icon, and now, Chris, too. I still get to see my favorite touring band. And as I told him this last time, I could have listened to pieces of music/ songs of his that he has been involved in a couple hundred times, but I still hear something new, and different, layered in there. Geoff always does his best, and looks for some great sounds and layering as well. Asking my buddy for terabytes of live YES shows and sending him his own storage, so he could sound as authentic as possible when he returned to YES, just shows me the dedication to his craft, and YES. Add in the dedication to his fans that respect and enjoy his work, and in my case might like a good laugh, against the grain, Geoff is top notch in my book.
I told him years ago, at a YES event that ASIA is just as important to me as YES. I don’t believe he has forgotten that, or me, or my buddy Brian and countless others.

That guy has never been funny. Ever!
We just had a guy over here shot in the stomach at the mall a couple days ago. The next day after most of the details came out, turns out he was a YouTuber illegally filming pranks inside the mall on unsuspecting folks. I hope he learned a valuable lesson to not fcuk with the wrong person.

If Downes main song writing band was Yes, The Quest would have been better. Not confident it could have improved H&E by much.
