    Conspiracy- Favourite tracks?

Such a cool side project from the Yes bassists. Of course Open Your Eyes was forged from them initially and they had a long connection stretching back to the late eighties. I think outside of Yes I've always loved:

Days of Wonder, Red Light Ahead and New World the most.

From Conspiracy: Days of Wonder, Violet Purple Rose, Lonesome Trail, The More We Live, Wish I Knew, but I like the rest too.
From The Unknown: Conspiracy, Confess, 1/2 a World Away, The Unknown, I Could, and I also like the rest too.

I like "The Unknown" better than the debut album.

          Days of Wonder
          Red Light Ahead
          Violet Purple Rose
          Conspiracy
          Confess
          New World
          1/2 a World Away
          The Unknown

And this reminds me that I have to take out and play the Conspiracy Live (2003) DVD. It has been too long.

The Conspiracy Live DVD is on CD too - nice versions of Hold Out Your Hand and You By My Side, first live airing of those tracks from FOOW I think. Also The More We Live & Universal Garden.

Conspiracy 2000 has roots in the 90's Chris Squire Experiment and Open Your Eyes, among other things. Days Of Wonder, Love Conquers All, Red Light Ahead, No Rhyme, and Say Goodbye(shoulda been a Yes track!) are all cool, and the version of OYE here (Wish I Knew) rocks.

The Unknown was new at the time, so was more immediate for me. Love the title track, New World, I Could, totally love 1/2 a World Away. The Wheel is cool too. 2003 was a pretty good year for Yes related stuff coming out (Conspiracy, Rabin solo reissues, Steve Howe's Remedy, Billy Sherwood No Comment, Rhino Yes reissues).

This may not count bur there was also Let The World Revolve from the Supertramp tribute album Billy did. Him and Squire are on the track together and Tony Kaye as well. Doesn't sound like it belongs on a Supertramp covers album - it's an original tune with a Yessier sound.

I was happy with Conspiracy project and wish there was more. Anything in the vaults, Billy?

True story. Went to internet cafe to listen to Livestream of the DVD. Chris. Billy. Jay? Had headphones on. Dug it. So dark and moody!

Next day at work, could hardly hear as if I'd been to a real concert and stood in front of the speakers 🤯

Fave? Lonesome Trail. Love it. Carries me away.

                Violet Purple Rose.
I adore this song! (And I remain grateful to Ceasar's Palace for bringing it to my attention some years ago.)

In no particular order: "The Wheel", "Watching the World", "Love Conquers All", and "No Rhyme".

"A lot of the heavier conversations I was having with Chris toward the end were about his desire for this thing to go forward. He kept reiterating that to me. [...] He kept telling me, 'No matter what happens, Yes needs to continue moving forward and make great music. So promise me that that's something you want to do.'. And I have to keep making music. It's just what I do. [...] I'm a fan of the band and I want to see it thrive and that means new music." -Billy Sherwood

At one point, Billy said in an interview everything he personally has with Chris Squire on it has been used.
