Pretty ironic of Howe considering how he treated Peter Banks during the Union Tour.Last edited by Enlighten; 09-08-2023, 09:06 AM.👍 3Comment

Steve would have changed positions as well when in ABWH vs Yes and ARW. The only one seemingly not in all that was Chris.Comment

Bless him.
Why is there an article about Yes' induction so often? Do people find it that interesting?Comment

Anyhow I thought it was a stupid idea to begin with. They weren't performing any Banks era songs on that tour, nor songs Banks had ever performed in his time with Yes. A bit like inviting someone to a class reunion who at some time was a student of the school, but never of that particular class.👍 2Comment

Doesn't Howe deny that it was him until this day?

Regardless of the class reunion analogy, it would have been a kind and graceful gesture given some of the bad blood that got stirred up when Peter was fired.Last edited by Enlighten; 09-08-2023, 09:18 AM.👍 1Comment

The two linked pieces seem to suggest that SH was uncomfortable that he was not in control and that having strong characters back in Yes would mean that he wouldn't have everything his own way. I am sure SH would have wanted all the interviews to have been about how great the current Yes line up is, and how everyone agrees that he is the custodian of Yes-ness. Shame for him.👍 1Comment

I totally agree that Peter Banks should have been included, but I also don’t think everyone deserves a participation trophy.

Peter Banks was the Rodney Dangerfield Of Yes - no respect. The first to be fired, the first to get forgotten, even the first Yes alumni to die. I urge Yes fans - if they so choose - to give Peter Banks' post Yes music a listen now and again: Flash, solo stuff, Empire. He didn't do a lot of it, he was kinda sporadic, but great guitar playing nonetheless. That Howe sound started with Banks and even Howe has alluded to that. The original guitar sound of Yes. Say 'Yes' to Peter Banks!! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎵👍 2Comment

What? You don’t think Eddie Jobson deserves to come out during a rousing YesO version of OOALH and give us his classic fist pump in recognition of his meaningful service to Yes? Jesus Frum, without Jobson that classic Owner video would not have risen to the heights that it did.👍 2Comment

Not on Yes' payroll.👍 3Comment

The ceremony was a clusterbuck. I knew better than not to go.
But that after party with YESfans and Tom Brislin was an event I was sorry I missed.Comment
