After fasting from THC for 31 days in order to pass a drug screen for a new job, I didn't pass a home test this morning. I told my would be employer and also let him know that I would test myself again next week, with all apologies, etc. Well it turns out that it doesn't matter anyway. I also received another job offer letter yesterday and accepted it this morning. The pay is a lot better and they don't care about drug screening. So for the hell of it, I opened up an 1/8 oz that I had purchased down at the corner store and I am currently smoking some Tiramisu at 27.58% THC. I'm going to sing some karaoke tonight!

A nice Sherbert hybrid. Balanced, goes right to the good part, without the sativa strong jitters.

Is drug-screening for a new job the norm? For all jobs, or just certain technical roles?
Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.Comment

In the US it's pretty widespread across the board.👍 1Comment

I'm a pretty technical guy (I'm a Mechanical Engineer). In over 30 years of seeking employment, this is the first time I've ever experienced it. They were requiring a drug screen pre-employment and in case of an accident while driving a company car. I believe it was for insurance reasons. Anyway, there is no law that I know of. The requirement, if any, is on a company by company basis. I do live in California.👍 1Comment

36.9, is that a hybrid? I just got a pure sativa at 32. Smells like a really hoppy IPA. Intense, but you get use to almost any strain. Animation is a good choice, might take that up.Comment

There’s a Cdn organic pot company called TGOD (The Green Organic Dutchman). Must be good for listening to Relayer! I tried one of their sativas and it was too sticky to roll (my preferred method), but the effects were great.
I’d recommend almost any strain from a Nova Scotia grower called Highland. Their Sensi Wizard (sativa) & The Leviathan (indica) rival anything I’ve tried from BC producers, anecdotally lauded as the best.Comment

With the changes in cannabis laws in the US some of this testing has broken down a bit. When our daughter got a new job teaching in Chicago she was tested but they specifically left cannabis out which made her very happy.Comment
