It Was 37 Years Ago Today

It was 37 years ago today that I saw my first Yes Concert!

It was the 1972 presidential election in the U.S.

My friend and I went to the concert at teh Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, on the "off chance". Paid $3.00 each for our tickets (or was it $4.00...).

J.Geils Band opened the show.

Needless to say, YES blew us away. Have been (and will always be) a fan ever since!

I am envious.

I just missed out on the Fragile tour and had to wait until later '72 for CTTE.

That's a great story, Frank.

Yeah '72 was my first show. I think Charlie Star opened? Ahh the memories.

Nice, you old-timers; thanks for sharing your stories. What I would have given to see Yes before 1979. The golden years.

Re: It Was 37 Years Ago Today

For me it was over 38 years ago that I first saw YES..at Devizes Corn Exchange,Devizes,Wiltshire on the 25th September 1971..it was the second date of the Fragile tour.
A singer songwriter named Jonathan Swift was support..I wonder what happened to him?

I was thinking, man, this guy is old! Then I did the math and realized that I saw my first Yes show 33 years ago.
