Re: Porcupine Tree - "The Incident" (2009)

At last, I was able to buy a copy of The Incident last weekend. Up until yesterday I'd only heard the edit of "Time Flies".

Now I've listened to the album once...so far, me likey! especially "Time Flies", "I Drive the Hearse", "The Blind House" from disc 1, and "Flicker" from disc 2.

If you like it this much after the first listen, after a half dozen or so, you'll be nearly as obsessed with it as me.

Glad you finally got it, Matt. It's one heck of an album. I totally love it and have been playing it every day.

Yup, I REALLY didn't like it on first spin, it took me at least 5 listens to start to like it.

Now I love it. It's also wonderful live.

Re: Porcupine Tree - "The Incident" (2009)

This is still not one I'm obsessed with. I like it, and play it. It's good music that I would like to hear live. But it's not yet a MUST HEAR, like Deadwing and In Absentia were (and still are) for me.

Time Flies still stands out for me as the strongest track . . . there's a few others that I'm not sure about the names . . . maybe it's time to give it another listen . . . lol

You're not wrong, Anne! :)

If you haven't had the live PT experience, you must! Their live gigs are SO much better than the albums - and you know how good they are.
