New Rabin interview: "a lot in the pipeline"

    https://chicago.suntimes.com/enterta...gressive-rock/

    Notable quotes:

“I kind of feel no one should be called Yes anymore,” says Rabin. “I’ll get rapped on the knuckles for saying this, but it’s just my opinion. I liked the way Led Zeppelin did it. When John Bonham died, that was it.”
“We’ve done a song, and there’s a lot in the pipeline. I wrote a song called ‘Fragile’ for a TV series starring Sharon Stone. Rick had fantastic ideas for it. Jon got into it and sang beautifully. He can go anywhere and reach any note. We might do that one on this tour, because it sounds really nice live.”

Kind of relieved he didn't say that at the RARHOF

So donate all your YES royalties to charity then Trev ?

only diff with the Led Zep words is that they quit playing all together, not go on and drop the name.

There's been 'a lot in the pipeline' since 2011 (remember Rick posting in one of his Gorr's he believed that in 2012 the album would be released?), but so far it has stayed there.....

Nope, one song popped out of the pipeline in July. Also, this a recent quote where one can put it next to what he told the Billboard guy and see where Rabin is going with the new music.

Spot on Arno. This is much ado about nothing, different words, same meaning. We know they’ve worked on stuff but it may never see the light of day.

Re: New Rabin interview: "a lot in the pipeline"

But Why? They kind of act like this is the last go around and they can't say for fear of hurting sales. It could either work that this is the last chance to see this version of Jon's Backup band or people in the know will say we've already seen this list twice, thrice whatever it is and forget about it. Seems like such a shame that these three have come out and rehashed old songs, albeit beautifully apparently, and not play new music.
    Color me disappointed.

I'll be pedantic - Led Zep didn't finish with Bonham's unfortunate passing. Zep played their full (one off) and impressive O2 concert in 2007 that was billed as Led Zeppelin noone said that wasn't Led Zep even tho Bonham Snr wasn't there

I wonder when Rabin feels that 'YES' ended ? I speculate he would mean 2008 (no Anderson) or possibly when Squire passed away?

I agree with him and Wakeman Snr - they should have left it ARW...I said that before they went YESf

Anyhow sounds like we might get Fragile live yet ?!

Since day 1 with Rabin, it's always been such a turn off with his attitude towards the word YES...for me anyways.... for me, it makes even listening to classic yes west not as much fun.

sometimes, over the years, it's as if he is doing us a favor for playing/writing and being a part of Yes.

it would be a fine gesture to give up the royalties...

    still undefined
