    I'm not seeing anything on Yesworld that Kaye has "rejoined Yes". So he's officially the 6th member then? I'd like a link to that news please, your "news" posts haven't exactly been completely honest in the past.
    It drives me nuts when people online don't know the difference between "your" and "you're".

    There so stupid.

    Just as I suspected, he's a "special guest" for the tour. That's not the same thing as *rejoining* the band, Mr. Rourke.

    For the summer tour he will be playing with them how you assume I am wrong is a mystery to me

    When reading “rejoining for the summer tour” one would likely guess that he was a guest. Unless you want to grasp at straws to find ways to complain about me

    Re: Tony Kaye Rejoins yes for the summer tour

    from Yesworld:

    To start, it has been announced that founding member/Grammy winner/Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Tony Kaye (keyboards; 1968-1971 and 1983-1995) will be joining Steve Howe (guitar since 1970), Alan White (drums since 1972), Geoff Downes(keyboards; first joined in 1980), Jon Davison (vocals since 2011) and Billy Sherwood (guitar/keyboards in the 1990s and the late Chris Squire’s choice to take over bass/vocals in 2015) as a special guest for this summer’s entire 35-date tour, billed as #YES50: Celebrating 50 Years of YES.
    NOT to start another “those bastards!” argument, but the statement “Steve Howe (guitar since 1970)” seems a bit vague and possibly misleading compared to tagging Kaye “1968-1971 and 1983-1995.” However,
    • this is a press release, which is by its very nature self-promotional;
    • IDing Kaye as a “founding member” who joined in 1968 makes it clear that no one else on stage, Howe included, is an original member;
    • ”guitar since 1970,” while a bit glossy, may communicate better than “1970-1980, 1991-1992, and 1995 to present;” and
    • the apparent need to specify dates implies an anxiety on the part of management over the authenticity or legitimacy of the lineup—a little fudging can be rationalized if you suspect the competition of doing the same.

    I already splurged on some nice tickets for the Connecticut casino show. I’m looking forward to Howe more than any of the other guys (Sherwood/Schellen rhythm section is #2). Also looking forward to ARW in the fall.

    but I couldn’t resist throwing a few stones! I’ll let you know what I think of the second sentence of the press release when I have time to closely pick it apart.

    Why not state that Moraz has "rejoined Yes" as well then?

    awh man, that would be applicable if it was "rejoins Yes for US 50th anniversary event", just like Rabin105 has put "rejoins Yes for summer tour" here. there's really nothing wrong with this. why so much nitpicking? :(

    May it be for more than just a song or two. Crazy that he didn't play on Survival last year when on the road.

    My guess is Tony will play at the beginning and end of the show and take a break in the middle. Alan will probably do the same.

    Me too! An original member, super cool dude, and will add some edge and different color to the sound. Great news!

    Well, I don't see Kaye and Moraz doing anything with ARW...

    You are probably right. But they are going to shake up the set list quite a bit so who knows. I hope they do some thoughtful rehearsing and how they integrate Tony. I hope he play most or all the show. Wishing all the best and hoping Alan is getting better. I hope Alan and Jay play together too on some songs.

    First off, Kaye joined them on the Cruise, then he wasn't there for th UK/europe tour, so from that perspective he is rejoining them. Furthermore you take things so liturally. So often it is announced that this and this artist will 'join' another artist or band for a special performance (the singer of the band Train will 'join' Hall & Oates on this summer's tour). It doesn't necessarily mean on a permanent basis to 'join' something.

    they might be doing "the Arnold" at that time...

    I love that Tony will be around...

    and don't be surprised if Tony and Patrick make there way to some up coming Yes music in the future, there both friends with Billy and everyone knows that having them involved in any way will only tantalize the fans.. and album sales... and future ticket sales.

    still undefined

    Beer, ganja, and roids? Maybe a good mix to play anything from Relayer, The Ancient, or Arriving UFO, at any age

    I hope the band does expand in a new different way. I'd have no problem with Moraz, Kaye, and Downes all on some new music. Might be tough to find room for everyone, Steve included! But if it was arranged correctly it might be incredible. And yes, the fans would get stoked and a buzz would be created from something other than beer, ganja, and roids.

    Might I add, 'And any fan whom continues to support Yes without JA.'

    His arrogance drives me insane.

    Which is why I've placed relayerone on ignore, being we must police ourselves, so I will.

    I'm not taking it this personal and why should I? It would be good sometimes for all of us to keep reminding ourselves there's another human being behind that keyboard over yonder.

    I do find here that sometimes it happens one poster gets annoyed by another member for how he uses and cruises the forum and then feels the need to about jump on every thread or post that particular member makes. And then we get into hissyfits that actually go about absolutely nothing, well about one thing: ego.

    We could all do with treating each other a little kinder and look upon each other's posts with a little kindness I think and sometimes let it just be.

    I have a feeling that had to do with flying. In the states he can travel by bus or car.
