June 50th Anniversary tour dates announced thus far

I know there will be individual threads for each show eventually, but I need something to help me keep track which is in chronological order.

    Europe
    June 3rd - Warsaw
    June 5th - Mannheim
    June 7th - Oslo
June 9th - Sweden Rock festival
    June 10th - Copenhagen

    UK
June 12th - Newcastle City Hall
    June 13th - York Barbican
June 17th - Stone Free festival, O2 London

Edit: the first date of what may be a Fall US tour has been released.

September 7th - Ravinia Festival concert series

I'm wondering if we're going to see any dates booked after Stone Free. Granted, that's a pretty intense two weeks there already.

I'm always amazed when I look at the Tormato/10th Anniversary tours, things like 13 nights in a row, one day off, then another 13 straight, on and on. And the shows were three hours without intermission!

i just think it's rather unpatriotic that they're not touring America First. And I see the Liberal Media's giving them a pass.

Re: June 50th Anniversary tour dates announced thus far

On the real, though, I have no issue with this unfolding of events, as it were. I do think they should tour everywhere that they can, especially if all they're really gonna do is be a legacy touring act. Granted, that may not be all that they'll do, but that's what it's looking like to me at this point. And that is just my take on it. Besides they may have learned something from last year and realized it's not a good idea to be touring in the same country as YesOff in any given timeframe. So my feelings will not be hurt at all if, say, they don't even tour the US this year. Hell, I didn't get to see them last year, so what's another year? I mean, I do think they will do a Fall/Winter tour but we just don't know yet.

YfARW did not play in Yorkshire or the North East on their last tour. This year's York and Newcastle gigs put right that omission.

Belfast, Aberdeen, Norwich, Cambridge and Bristol should be on the list of possibilities if the band is looking to add more dates.

It would suit me fine if they threw in a Dutch date as well.....

I notice they mentioned Tales in the write up. I think they might play something from Tales this time. I would give an eye tooth to see their take on RSOG. YEs, Yes I know, Rick hates it but maybe he has to play Tales like only he can but maybe he will get some 6th wife in their too, to the sheer joy of an ARW audience. Just a thought

Trevor doing Tales - so far I imagine that as something wonder-full... emprirically it should be Ritual... but they wouldn't go wrong with whatever they do from that album. As Long as it is not only Leaves Of Green...

Britney Spears will play Scarborough this summer. I think ARW should play Cayton Bay or Filey...

For some reason I thought they would play Prague. I suppose they still might but since news of these dates appeared in a cluster of sorts, I'm not certain now that we will see further developments but as always I'm happy to be proven wrong.

But now I get why Trevor posted on Facebook when he did. It was basically hey we're touring in June! as he knew the dates were now finalized.

I think it would be interesting to hear Yesfeat play something off of Tales. It would be great to hear Anderson sing it again, though I would be somewhat surprised seeing Wakeman wasnt keen on the album. Perhaps some pieces of it grew on him. Rabin "shredding" or not on it wouldnt lead me to believe it will be utterly ruined. So as far as my opinion goes, bring it on!

From what I've gathered in interviews, I think Wakeman likes quite a lot more of Tales than the legend goes. What he resented was that the 4 songs were stretched / padded for too long. But I'm sure he is proud of the more striking moments.
