This time you can pick from the living and the deceased.

Must be at least 3 members in the group.

Good lord, I never noticed how much Christopher Lloyd looks like Tony Kaye in that clip.

Here I'd Just change Bobby Martin in favour of Tommy Mars and Peter Wolf, they did swing much more...

Oh, and yes, Arthur Barrow instead of Patrick O'Hearn

    Ry Cooder: Guitar/Vocals
    Carlos Alomar: Rhythm-Guitar
    Bernard Edwards: bass/vocals
    Steve Nieve: Keyboards
    Jaki Liebezeit: Drums

    P.S.

Vol. II, very tempting, as they are all alive

Let's see, Bill Bruford on drums, Chris Squire on bass, Steve Howe on guitar...wait, I see where this is going....actually I'll change it up and go with the real Dave Stewart (not that Eurhythmics guy) on keyboards and Annie Haslam with the vocals. Jon Anderson with the merch sales, since he's good with asking for money, and the great Alan White as manager since he's honest and every sane person loves and gets along with Alan White.

Re: Create Your Best Classic Rock Super Group Ever

I'm assuming we get them all in whatever we consider their prime years as musicians for this:

Peter Cetera- lead vocals, additional bass
    Phil Collins- drums, vocals
    Steve Lukathor- lead guitar, vocals
    Ritchie Blackmore- co-lead guitar
    Billy Joel- piano, vocals
    Chris Squire- bass guitar, vocals
    Jon Lord- keyboards
    Tony Banks- more keyboards

That's 8 guys, same size as Yes' Union lineup. I can pair it down to a 5 man unit if necessary. :)
"A lot of the heavier conversations I was having with Chris toward the end were about his desire for this thing to go forward. He kept reiterating that to me. He kept telling me, ‘No matter what happens, Yes needs to continue moving forward and make great music. So promise me that that’s something you want to do.’ And I have to keep making music. It’s just what I do. I’m a fan of the band and I want to see it thrive and that means new music." -Billy Sherwood (Quote edited to fit under character limit for sig files)

Can you imagine Bonham with EVH? Holy crap, add Squire and an in prime Steve Walsh, you’re cookin’ with gas there, arpeggios be damned.

I don't know long lost bother of mine, I can never disassociate EVH with DLR, and that image of DLR and his chaps is hard to get past.
