Seeing different line-ups of the band live.

Recently got my ticket for Birmingham UK in March 2018 and reflected on that fact that it will be the 8th time I've seen Yes live (well, if you count ABWH and ARW as Yes which I do). Every single time it's been a different line up: In order:

    1. ABWH - my first experience of Yes.
    2. The Union line up (awesome!)
    3. The Ladder line-up
    4. Magnification line-up
    5. Live from Lyon line-up
    6. Fly From Here line-up
    7. ARW
    8. #50 line-up

Is this a record? 8 consecutive shows; different line up every time?? Anyone out there beat it, using the same rule about ABWH and ARW? It is possible for a UK fan - there was a tour I missed which was the 'classic' Anderson/Howe/Wakeman/White/Squire line-up (still kicking myself for not getting to one of the shows)

There are people who have seen more Yes lineups than the members themselves.

ha! that's funny... true in some ways...

    Anderson/Rabin/Squire/Kaye/White
    Anderson/Bruford/Wakeman/Howe/Levin
    Anderson /Howe/Rabin/Squire/Kaye/Wakeman/Bruford/White
    Anderson/Howe/Squire/White/Khoroshev/Sherwood
    Anderson/Howe/Squire/White/Brislin
    Anderson/Howe/Squire/Wakeman/White
    David/Howe/Squire/O.Wakeman/White
    David/Squire/Howe/Downed/White
    Davison/Howe/Squire/White/Downes
    Davison/Howe/Sherwood/Downs/White/
    Anderson/Rabin/Wakeman/Pomeroy/Molino

I think that's it... I think... I envy those who saw the relayer tour... my brother should have taken me, but my mom would not let me go :(

I guess seeing Jon with kitaro does nor count, but wow what a show and they played the Yes tunes very well....Jon was so high at those shows, so was I too... it was like Yes drunk on sake and the bass player turned into a life egg roll...what a buzz... the song Hearts was dripping in soy sauce... but it sounded so cool with that sushi style vibe.

thinking about it... it's hard not to see Yes without seeing a line up change, even if you only have seen two tours. It's funny to go to a Yes show now a days and listen to the folks who have no idea who is in and who is out... it cracks me up....

    I'm waiting for the...

    Anderson /Howe/Brislin/Rabin//Kaye/Wakeman/Bruford/White/horn/Moraz/David/sherwood/Khoroshev.... show.

I have seen everything since BG except for the 1st BD lead tour version (I was very sick that year).

Cool. ABWH was my first Yes experience as well, at the age of 16.

    01. ABWH
    02. Union Lineup
    03. OYE tour - OYE/Ladder Lineup
    04. The Ladder Tour - OYE/Ladder Lineup
    05. Full Circle Tour - Classic Lineup
    06. 35th Anniversary tour - Classic Lineup
    07. Three Album tour lineup
    08. 2016 lineup in Europe (so not with Jay yet, but soley Alan)
    09. ARW

So nine concerts and seven different lineups, so yes you beat me on that.

Well.....on new year's eve we bake and eat "Oliebollen", deep fried doughnut balls, and they can come in a variety, like natural or with raisins....

    ...and "appelflappen", apple fritters.....

...and another tradition, set by a comedian in the 70s and still going strong today is there's a comedian doing what we call de "oudjaarsconference", which not let it translate itself easy, but it comes down to looking back at the old year and everything that happened nationwide and worldwide, and often especially politicians get the heat which isn't that abnormal now, but was something pretty rare and daring here at the start of the 70s, which is broadcasted on national TV and well is watched by the majority of Dutch people. In this day and age, with commercial television, there's often a network programming another comedian vs. the National TV network.

Then at midnight we behave like usual people again and toast on the new year with Champaign and set off fireworks.....

I've seen YesWest, the Union line-up, the Classic line-up, and Yesfeat. I was going to see the line-up with Benoit and Oliver but my show was cancelled because of Chris' DVT issue and then I never got the chance to go after that.

Re: Seeing different line-ups of the band live.

I'e seen the Relayer lineup, the 77-79 classic, Drama, all multiple times. then a show of the 90125 tour

I didn't go to another Yes show until the Magnification tour (although I was on the guest list for one of the Wembley Union shows but the car broke down on the way to the gig and I missed the show)

Since then I've seen the so called classic lineup on the 2003 and 2004 tours, the Benoit/Oliver, the Benoit/Downes, the Davison/Squire and the Davison/Sherwood, all multiple times, but neither of the 2 drummer lineups.

So I've actually been able to see the same lineups on consecutive tours sometimes!

Extremely! Ended up marooned in Bradford at a gig with Adrian Sherwood, the Jah Shaka sound system, and African Head Charge. Not quite the evening I had been anticipating, a more different experience would be hard to imagine! At least I got a decent curry afterwards.

Ah memories : in the early 80’s we used to visit Le Luna curry house in Bradford and has a vindaloo, two chipattis, raw onions and yoghurt sauce for £1.20
