-1- Why would ARW have to be responsible for offering reparations for a situation which was perpetrated by YesOff?
-2- If Rick needed a stand-in I'm assuming it would be Adam rather than Oliver, if he were available.

My take is a little different. It's easy money. He drives himself to the gig, has no equipment as the piano is provided by the venue, has no preparation as he goes in stage in shabby old trainers and tracksuit bottoms and an old t shirt. No rehearsal time as he plays the same set four years in a row; same jokes and stories too. Charges £42 for a 500 seat hall. Counts his money on the drive home.

    Simples.

Quite scary. People get sick. It doesn't mean he is dying. Whatever ails him is none of our business but people wishing him a speedy recovery is fine.

Now that is way too cynical. I'm sure he can't drive himself and count money at the same time.....

To do what precisely? They've no touring commitments, there's no sign of actively recording new music. What will he be doing? Emailing Jon with a few crude jokes??

No emailing necessary by the way. Jon only has to follow Rick's twitter account to get his share of fart jokes and other amusement....

    I agree 100%.

By the way, does anyone know when the crowdfunded private eye will give us an update on Wakeman's condition?

I admire Wakeman's charity work and I don't think that's what's holding back faster progress with ARW.

Well it could be that his focus was to just write about what he did/is doing this month and last as opposed to looking ahead, which makes for more of an apt subject for January.

I had a thought today, while listening to my favorite cover of "Your Move" (Robert Downey Jr., which has a Yes connection after all) - since so many people have covered that part of AGP, it would be cool to have special guests come and sing it at various ARW shows next year. It's kind of stunt casting, true, but it would only be people who have performed/recorded it themselves.

Wow, found out that even Kid Creole & the Coconuts did a version of Your Move. August Darnell's 80s New-York-melting-pot-project with puertorican-soul-funk-latin-new-wave-big-band-jazz-influences... was popular in europe around 82/83, not so much in the US.

Unfortunately I could not find a version so far. Here is just one of their better known Songs:

Yeah I know who they are. You can always assume I know a group/artist unless I tell you I don't. I have a fairly wide musical taste and education.

I agree, RDJ’s cover was a great interpretation and gave it modern masculine feel with great production from Jonathan Elias and the backing vocals not to bad.....it was the only cover on the disc with Downey’s surprising strong originals.

I was working for Kid Creole around the time the "You Shoulda Told Me" album was released and did a lot of shows with the band. as far as I recall, Their "Your Move!" number bore no resemblance whatsoever to the Yes one. I would have noticed, I'm pretty sure, despite all the special tobacco we used to consume back then.

Clicked on that out of idle curiousity, and having only just woken up. It was horrible.
