    RIP Tom Petty

    Yeesh , Really?

So when we do concerts with any Yes music, I always say, there’s certain things you have to play that Chris played because without those notes, the voice doesn’t sing correctly. - Jon Anderson

For me, it's Jon Anderson's distinctive, light but husky vocal that is as characteristic of their sound as anything - Andy MacIntyre

My wife will be devastated, huge TP fan.
It drives me nuts when people online don't know the difference between "your" and "you're".

    There so stupid.

Really sad. I love Tom Petty. My favorite concert film is "The concert For George" . . . Tom Petty is so great on that.

66 is waaaaaaaayyyyy too young. I always despair of those who say life sucks. Death - especially early death - sucks much, much more. TP always came across as looking much younger than his years. Somehow makes his passing all the sadder.
    RIP Tom.

I hate even looking at the newspaper's website. Gone Gator Gone.

They said he has not died. Was a false report from TMZ. But clinging to life, condition unclear.

LAPD have apparently apologised for reporting death of TP. Pretty shoddy behaviour putting something like this in the public domain without ensuring the facts first.

Right but he apparently has no brain function and has been taken off of life support.
