    Brian Lane still fighting dirty??

A review after the Vancouver concert from YesO was posted in "The Standard" flaming Yes (https://www.straight.com/music/96076...self-vancouver).

Now Geoff Downes has posted in the comment section:

    Geoff Downes:
Immediately smelt a rat with this review. Was sent to one of our crew members by ARW's tour manager BEFORE it was even published! Coincidence? I think not.

If true then I'm quite amazed to how low Lane will stoop.....

EDIT: It's not Lane, Downes is talking about but tourmanager Paul Silveira.

If Brian Lane weren't playing dirty (or doing his job as some might say) I'd be looking for his obituary.

Nothing is misguided to it's creators, only the recipients who didn't want the expectation ruined for them.

But what was the context of Paul sending the article to whomever he did? He's pretty much loyal to Jon, from what I know of him, so it doesn't make sense to me that he would reveal some kind of machination at work to the other side.

IF true one positive from my perspective is that Downes is differentiating between his view of the principals of ARW and their manager. I certainly do

Rubbish. Promoting your own team doesn't mean you have to diss the opposition.
    Lame, naive, laughable and stupid

True enough, but I'm far from convinced Brian Lane thinks that way.

To a certain point I understand. On the other hand those principals are the ones who hired this particular manager knowing full well his tactics and antics from the past. In my book that makes them at least partly accountable as he is operating in their name.

I don't quite follow the logic here. Is the suggestion that Brian Lane had a hand in the article? It is credited as being penned by Rob Bailey....what has this got to do with Brian Lane?

Brian Lane is the manager of ARW and there is a suggestion that he is coordinating this

What Downes is suggesting (that's at least how I read it), is that Brian Lane had his hands on this review/piece before it was published. That begs the question how the manager of Yesfeat. can be in possession of a review of a YesO concert before it was published, which in itself suggests a link between the author and Lane and thus suggests partiality

Correct however it is unfortunately very common in sports and many other 'industries' to essentially "diss" the competition

ARW's Tour Manager is Paul? Surely *not* Paul Silveira?

Also interesting that Downes says "if true" which suggests he doesn't know for sure and therefore is making an accusation without fact. Not something I personally would do but each to their own

It was me who said "if true", not Downes. What's in italic is Downes'

^^ also while you quoted me you didn't actually react to the content of that post, but it seem merely attempted to derive from it......

Oké, going to admit one 'mistake'. I did glance over 'TOURmanager" and therefore assumed Downes ment Lane, but that seems to be incorrect.

Luna's post now makes sense to me too.....

Someone said that Brian may have shown it to someone else.

Just another thing for the housewives to get their panties in a bunch. It was a garbage review but they can't let anything go.
