    Steve on Yes feat. ARW

I thought Steve said this with as much class as possible after all they've said. Good on Steve and Yes. "Time will tell" indeed....

"We don't want to fuel any fires," he explains. "That's an unstoppable force to us." He adds that, "Anybody can play Yes music. If they want to get up on the stage they can do anything, I think ARW have got great potential as ARW, but they're going to do what they're gonna do, and they're not going to change their mind because of what we think. Only time will tell if they did the right thing."

LOL. I kind of like Rick's attitude that there is room for 2 Yes'. You know, like on Yes Union.

I'm just wondering how long Rabin and Wakeman will hang around...? I guess the all around zen answer to all of this stuff is indeed, "time will tell"...

Thinking of Yes history and all the guys that said never, the phrase that also may apply is, "Ya never know..." lol

Steve has been remarkably restrained when it comes to YesFeat ... Another classy response.

Those are nice comments, but I really don't think it matters much one way or the other. I don't think there is much left for "time to tell." It's not 1975. These are veteran musicians riding into the sunset. We aren't talking about two bands that are going to find some new mass popularity.

Good on Howe, well articulated :)

    1. What is the "right thing" Howe refers that ARW did, presumably YES Feat branding ?
    2. "Fuel fires" - again this reinforces my suspicions that there is more to this that we fans know about. Wakeman Snr indicated as much too.

I'm betting longer than many think. This is the last time they'll really have with a major act, and besides which, they're having a blast !

Very classy response to all that has happened. ARW should /could take note. This together with Steve's recent quote on new music /a new album give me great hope on something excellent to come over the coming one-two years from Yes.

Sometimes in music, the songs can transcend the band members themselves - I think Yes is such a band.

Yeah fair play to Steve for getting the initial comments he made to Prog Magazine withdrawn before they went public, its also a pity he wasn't as "remarkably restrained" when it came to publicly trashing Yes albums in the press, some folk have got their heads up Steve's arse by the looks of it...

This just makes him seem that much more stand up

Wakeman should have "withdrawn" 90% of the horsecrap he's gone public with

So when Downes posts "horsecrap" here and then deletes it, does it also make him seem "that much more stand up"?

I think people are only pissed at Downes because it hits too close to home for some of the Yuppets around here.

Partly true. I feel there is a difference whether one makes ones comments unprovoked (Wakeman and ARW) or provoked (Downes in reaction to comments from the ARW camp). But Howe gets extra credit in this particular case for remaining classy even when provoked.

Downes was insulting Anderson long before ARW finally came together.

....but not before Anderson had publicly said some not too flattering things about then current Yes, which you conveniently seem to forget.....
