Yes, pop-pickers, Yes actually appeared on 'Top of the Pops' back in 1977 with 'Wondrous Stories'. I'm guessing it was a video recording of them but still. I knew I had heard some of their stuff before and know this makes sense that I heard it while very small. Yes on 'Top of the Pops'. Watching these old 'Top of the Pops' with interest at how strange the line-ups were and, of course, with an added layer of perhaps negativity with all the Savile stuff. But that's a side issue. Yes on 'Top of the Pops'.

I think it was and I think it may have been recorded at one of the Wembley shows.

I can't remember even seeing it. I do remember reading someone (Chris Welch?) saying that they were refused the Album Spot because the producer didn't like them, but got to play in a "lesser" spot instead.

I also remember reading somewhere that they did Starship Trooper and America for TOTP, but whether either or both were used - who knows?

My memory of this is that it was footage from a stadium show. I even asked a question about it on a.m.y back in 1999 but no-one could help. That episode is being reshown on Thursday night?!? Looks like the mystery will be solved.

So, did anyone actually watch this? What was the Yes video? It's on the BBC's iPlayer thingy for another week, though those of us who don't pay a licence fee (i.e. aren't in the UK) are blocked from watching it.
