SPECULATION THREAD! Yes possibly going into the studio in January?

Now this is a speculation threadIf you hate speculation (josuev and others) and don't think yes will do an album next year (Josuev and others) and all you want to do is rain on my parade and say this is dumb (josuev and others) please don't I just want to speculate on yes's activities for the begining of the year. In fact I will post for those who hate speculation

All Jokes Aside lets review the facts

1. Yes will be doing Cruise to the edge from the 24-30 Mar 2013

2. Yes has had now 2 writing sessions the first was in the spring with Squire Davison and possibly White the second is currently White and Squire are wiritng material

3. Squire had this to say think that's going to be a natural progression, now. The next thing Yes does, going into next year, will be another studio album of original material — with Jon [Davison] involved. That's how I see us going into 2013."



Now there is a 2 and half month block of time for yes January Febuary and early march where yes (as far as I know) has nothing going on and could conceivably begin working on a new album. Either in a mutual location (like arizona) or perhaps if they have enough material they could go into the studio.


I think Cruise from the edge negates the possibility of yes doing a tour in that time frame SOOOOOOO

What does everyone think?


I think Yes is going to be going into the studio in january.

I voted Yes though I wouldn't be too sure. I think it's much more likely that they'll play around with some new material, do some more writing, and prepare for the cruise - though some of that might happen in a studio - hence the Yes vote. I still believe something new (however unfinished) will be revealed next time they play live - possibly the cruise.

No they'll probably rehearse some new (as in not played recently) songs for the Cruise in February and start recording after the cruise...but what do I know ?

As for being harsh on Rabin105- I know your sence of humor well enough that you didn't mean any harm.. saying that "he is taking up do much data space" and then you using huge letters to respond (even more data) to me is funny.. but I can see howe some might think you were being mean.

I would of posted sooner but was out last night Seeing taken 2 with my friend Chris and his gf Jen then was in a dinner till 11:30 because Jen's roomate works there and she is absolutly cute and perfect for me (jen's words not mine) The roomate didn't show I went home got up went to church and worked on my thesis so taking a 5 minutes study break to essentially say everything fine ROB.

Oh one quick note about Taken 2 good film I loved it but would of referred if the hot daughter stayed in a bikini for the remainder of the film Rob you would agree lol


Back on topic Yes I think they will do some kind of group writing possible recording session in January and February that much is almost certain but where is a question..... Chris I have a house in Vermont you and the boys can borrow if you want .

I suspect that they already have a well worked out plan for recording and touring next year. The new management team and recording label have given Yes an air of organisation I haven't from them since the days of Brian Lane.
