Hey, Doc ! It hurts when I do this....

I did something to my shoulder... at least the top of my shoulder was where the Xtreme pain was.
So... I get a script of cortisone pills (Decadron) and take all the pills as of 2 days ago.
    Shoulder feels much better.

Then I put on a t-shirt this morning and notice this...

That ain't muscle (although I'm confident my posts ALWAYS convey my Herculean strength).

Why is there a giant bulge in my CUTE LITTLE bicep?

It no hurt none at all. I ain't a' hot doggin' ya !

It just feels like I did some light weight work with it. Ya know, just like that after-gym tight warmth (burn).

Why does me shoulder look like I'm turning into Popeye ?

    Seriously.

    Where's Old Doc Zach ?

Anyone familiar with something like this ??

    Anyone??

Pretty please? With a cherry on top ?

    Show off! ;-)

Kim, please keep your pants on. I have no interest ( read none ;-) ) of seeing your other Herculean strength. ;-)

Never heard of cortisone pills. If your erection lasts more than four hours though, go see a doctor right away. ;-) Maybe you took the wrong pills. Were they blue by chance? I read you could barely see driving home the other night ( the other side effect). ;-)

Seriously, friend, I hope you are drinking a lot of water to help your kidneys with the pills you've been taking.

Keep my pants on? Rob, that isn't my butt. I just want to make sure everyone understands... that isn't my butt.

That's my left bicep. Arm. Not butt. Totally different thing. Trust me.

Actually, my butt has a tattoo of my face on it. Which makes both superfluous.... or vice-versa.

I'm not sure at this point, though. Rob, I think you've given me a headache.

    .... or a butt ache.

Now I can't tell the difference.

I'll get you for this... I swear !

    THAT . . . is so wrong.

Call your doctor right now, or just pay him a visit. Now.

Actually, my son had something similar in his lower arm last summer. It was serious: a blod clot, so yes, get it seen to.

Probably salt/fluid retention from the steroids. Do you agree Zach ?

Swelling of isolated body parts calls for contacting your doctor immediately.

    Most likely.

But if left untreated it could have ugly consequences. Or . . . it could simply resolve on its own, maybe.

Best not to ignore it, though. Swelling places undue pressure on the surrounding structures, and could result in damage to vessels, muscles and other soft tissue.

But, yes, as you stated very succinctly, "Swelling of isolated body parts calls for contacting your doctor immediately."

Second of all, what did the doctor say after you saw him?

They do like to cover themselves when they list possible side-effects in those pill boxes.

It would be a great title for a book. And it would be ironic if the hero/heroine didn't have much sex at all.

OK. I'm going to the doc in about 2 hours... and...

That would make a great title for a book and film. I want a percentage of the take.

After all, who started this thread anyway ? ! ? !

    15% sounds about right.
