Ooh, any chance of a GTR reunion?
...so marvelously had it been constructed, that from a hundred feet away the tiny crack between wood and stone was completely invisible.

hey guys, late home from work so only just posting this now. my name is ian from england 9living in portsmouth) and
i'm looking to share a 2,3 or 4 berth cabin on the cruise. anyone intrested?
i'm well known to the hardcore uk yesfans and to anne from australia amongst others.
i'm not after a "party" cabin so you can be assured of a good nights sleep LOL.
i can transfer funds via paypal etc.
hope to hear from someone.
doh!!! forgot to post my email address. its blackmoreyes@hotmail.com
If Squire, Howe and Hackett did a set of GTR tunes (I actually don't care much for the Squackett release) I would first shoot myself in the head for not going on the cruise and then immediately start a petition demanding a DVD release of the set.
I was typing exactly that when I saw your message. Can you image a "Yes and Family"-style box set featuring the following (I can dream, right?):
Asia
GTR (maybe Howe and Hackett acoustic)
Squackett, including some of the Hackett solo tracks featuring Squire on bass
Yes
It would almost be like the Broadway residency idea, but on a boat.
Hey Ian good to see you on here.
Jon (punj) started a thread about sharing - here http://www.yesfans.com/showthread.ph...t=#post2379301
Jon was at the Sadler's Wells Jon show recently - not sure if you met him there...

I'm just depressed this is happening on the week of Easter. No chance in hell I'm going now/ getting time off from work. It use to be just x-mas I hated ( interferes with my birthday ;-) but now Easter as well spoils my fun.
Join me, will you, in renouncing all religious holidays!
I blame this timing of the cruise squarely on Steve and Jon. It's the only time of the year the cruise ships have a wider variety of vegetables and fruits on board which is perfect for their fruit and vegetable murdering ways. ;-)
Oh, and the cost? At this point the cruise and all the musical guests on board seems like a much better deal than if the guys and Jon, Rick and whoever else got back together for a couple one-off shows in England. I hope those who are fortunate enough to go have a blast if they can survive the sunburn, diarrhea and being groped by Gopher and Issac. ;-)
Have fun!!!! ( I'm really jealous, I just wonder how many whales beach themselves when Chris uses his bass pedals on board? )
Whilst I would love to see a DVD I believe what happens on board should stay on board. So no phone vids etc. My rational for this is if you want the band to mix and jam playing other material then I guess that there will be mistakes made. No problem with that as everyone is amongst friends. If I was a musician and thought that what would be a fun run through of a rare number I would think twice if I new that by the end of the cruise it was all over you tube.
This makes a lot of sense, but I suspect very few people will act on it. The organisers have stressed that in their experience giving the bands space to be themselves and to be relaxed on board makes them much more likely to mingle and to do spontaneous stuff. Shoving cameras in their faces, either on or off stage, is likely to have a negative effect.
