I find it interesting that Billy Sherwood and Tony Kaye (along with Greg Lake, Asia Featuring John Payne and the Strawbs) will be on the Moody Blues Cruise and therefore disembarking the very same boat on the very same day when Yes (along with Carl Palmer and the original Asia) embark. I wonder if we could get some of the passengers on the earlier cruise to somehow lock Sherwood, Kaye, Lake and the Strawbs in their cabins until the Yes cruise leaves port!

I know the Prog Collective is (are?) booked for the Moody Blues Cruise, but their Facebook page is all about Cruise to the Edge. They would obviously be a great fit for the Yes cruise and I can't understand why they appear to be sailing off with the Moodys. Can anybody shed any light on this?

MUSIC CRUISE
I can be the first to announce that U.K. will join Yes, Tangerine Dream, Carl Palmer and others on "Cruise to the Edge," the 5-day progressive-rock cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the Cayman Islands and Jamaica - March 25-30, 2013. For the first time, the lineup will be Jobson-Wetton-Machacek-Bozzio, the ultimate 2012 version of the band.
Sky was black, Lord, rain came pouring down
Number 12 bus shuffling down Shaw Road way
Mules keep spinning, black-faced lifers peck the ground
Sun comes up like lightning over Tandle Hills grey
That's right Geoff. The line-up is now:
Yes
Tangerine Dream
UK
Carl Palmer's Power Trio
Nektar
Glass Hammer
Saga
Zebra
(with Wetton, Howe, Downes and Palmer on board, Asia seems a distinct possibility, though not officially announced ... yet)

Or several.
What I'd really love to see is various members from different bands guesting with others and then also popping up here and there in the boat's various venues to perform brief impromptu sets - even of just one or two songs. Imagine walking into the atrium (where they have a little stage with a piano on it) to find Eddie Jobson tinkling away with Carl Palmer banging on a pair of bongos he just picked up at Ocho Rios; or Steve with an acoustic and JD singing Leaves of Green, or an acoustic version of To Be Over; or Chris and Froese at the buffet doing an impromptu rendition of The Germans from Fawlty Towers. "I mentioned it once but I think I got a way with it." Of course, you could also imagine hearing about these things having happened but missing them all because you were too busy hanging out in a hot tub or trying to figure out how to get from the UK gig in the threatre to the Nektar gig on the deck stage.

Tim, if you're reading this - as there are now several threads relating to the cruise wouldn't it make sense to put them all in one special sub-forum, within the Tour Center? Is that possible?

I can't wait for another after party drum solo - that was fantastic!
We're down for RosFest, too!
At this point, I'm not sure we can swing both the cruise AND RosFest, but it's fun to think about.
Can you just imagine how many different ways we can get into trouble on a cruise ship?!

Why yes, yes I can! ;-) It's all good till someone gets hurt or has an unexpected love-child. ;-)
The cruise sounds like a blast but ROSfest and all those attending will be bad-ass and a lot of fun as usual. It might be something fun for others to consider attending as well or instead. Go once and it will become a tradition.
