Sorry folks. Henry posted this 2x but I blew it out of the door trying to post it as an article to the main www.yesfans.com page. Sorry Henry, I hope I get this up to what you did. If I have missed something Henry please add it to the thread.
24-30 Mar 2013 will see the Cruise to the Edge (Facebook): a 5-day cruise starting and finishing in Fort Lauderdale, FL, going via Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Georgetown, Grand Cayman, featuring live performance by Yes, with support by Nektar. (Nektar have recently worked with Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Rick Wakeman, Patrick Moraz, all of whom guest on their new covers album, Spoonful of Time, while Billy Sherwood is the bassist in Nektar for recent live work and a forthcoming album of original material. I do not know whether Sherwood will be in the band for the cruise.)

Wow, so this is serious? I thought it was just some weird joke in the other thread.
That said I kinda want to go.
For me, this has got to be more than just four or five nights of generic prog rock played by supporting acts followed by one night of Yes. It will have to be something special from Yes - several sets, a variety of material from the back catalogue, some new numbers, guest appearances by past members. It would be nice to think that maybe Chris and Steve had something like this in mind when they talked about residencies, a history of yes, playing songs from every album ...
Good with curry; not good with dogma
26/10/77 (Wembley); 26/10/78 (Wembley); 14/12/80 and 16/12/80 (Hammersmith); 11/7/84 and 12/7/84 (Wembley); 8/12/87 (Montreal); 23/8/89 (ABWH - Ottawa); ... The Wilderness Years ...; 16/6/04 (Wembley); 17/11/09 (Hammersmith); 17/11/11 (Hammersmith); 26/3/13, 27/3/13 and 29/3/13 (Cruise to the Edge)
If they are going to cruise around that area and play on different nights then they nned to make sure they are playing the songs in the correct Keys. (boom boom)
Sky was black, Lord, rain came pouring down
Number 12 bus shuffling down Shaw Road way
Mules keep spinning, black-faced lifers peck the ground
Sun comes up like lightning over Tandle Hills grey
Yes, I think the details matter. Many bands do this and do those sorts of things, different sets, playing some more obscure songs, acoustic sets, Q&A sessions. It's out of my price bracket, but were I to go, I'd want more than Yes playing their standard set once.

The website will be live today sometime...probably evening time for the UK. I expect some more details once that is up and running. Nektar are a support band but not sure of any others and, in response to speculation on Henry's original thread, a little birdie has told me that BS will not be there on bass with them (er, Nektar that is)

(sung to the tune of "Gilligans Island" theme song.)
Just sit right back and you'll hear from Tales,
A Tale of a psychedelic trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this cruise ship.
The mate was a mighty singing man,
The bassist brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour Tor, a three hour Tor.
The weather started getting rough,
Owner was finally tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless road crew
The concert would be lost, the concert would be lost.
The group set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle
With Juano, The Fish too,
The millionaire and his keytar.
The drumming star
The professor and his ES-175,
Here on Squire's Isle.
So this is Tales from Topographic Oceans
The Revealing Science of God plays for a long, long time
They'll have to make the best of things,
No curry around this time
The first mate and Squire too,
Will do their very best,
To make the others comfortable,
In the tropic island nest.
No lasers, fog, no rotating stage
Not a single luxury,
Like Robinson Crusoe,
As primative as can be.
So join us here each night my friends,
You're sure to get a smile,
From five stranded castaways,
Playing on "Squire's Isle."
