Do you skip to the MEAT of YES songs?

You are driving along, cranking some YES, you are at a tune that is a longer cut of theirs, do you find yourself at times fast forwarding to the BEEF of the song at times? I do it a lot with the live stuff I listen too, specially if I am driving somewhere and I know I have just a few minutes. I will push it to the cranking part of the song to get pumped up before I have to get out of the car.

I usually skip Owner or most of the Rabin era stuff; no meat there. ;-)

Re: Do you skip to the MEAT of YES songs?

Nope. I like to hear the 'progression' of the piece, no pun intended.

(Unless I am specifically searching for an instrumental part for some reason, I like the songs to play through naturally. When I stop the car, that is the stopping point.)

I have to say never really with Yes, other bands, yes. Maybe from song to song on the live, studio albums, but never songs.
If I make the effort to put a Yessong on, thats it!

    Never.

Yes songs should be played through from beginning to end, savoring every second of them!

Re: Do you skip to the MEAT of YES songs?

No. The first guy I played music with always used to ask me what was my favorite part of certain songs. I don't view songs in parts, even 18 minute songs.
