You are driving along, cranking some YES, you are at a tune that is a longer cut of theirs, do you find yourself at times fast forwarding to the BEEF of the song at times? I do it a lot with the live stuff I listen too, specially if I am driving somewhere and I know I have just a few minutes. I will push it to the cranking part of the song to get pumped up before I have to get out of the car.

Nope. I like to hear the 'progression' of the piece, no pun intended.
(Unless I am specifically searching for an instrumental part for some reason, I like the songs to play through naturally. When I stop the car, that is the stopping point.)
