There was talk on another thread about Geoff's intro to wondrous stories the original part of it saying how it sounded different original and some said it was part of a buggles tune others say it wasn't anything special.
Same with Alan white's intro for Tempus Fugit..
Let me say this right now neither piece has been confirmed for the next yes album and there is a chance that bother peices are just Alan and Geoff being the amazing musicians they are and coming up with something on the spot! Ok so are the yeptics Happy. I have played your trump card already...
Ok now let's listen to these intros I isolated both
Alan's drum bit

Sound like it could be something new Did anyone honestly think this drum bit would wind up on a future yes album ?

Well it did it's clearly Mind drive... Alan's bit is only 11 seconds long but could be the intro for a new rock yes piece that perhaps they started writing in April but decided to not show the whole piece just a taste? (i don't think the drum intro was part of the Asia yes tour in the spring) thoughts?
Now onto the other bit of music that fans started discussing
Geoff's piano bit
here ya go
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hp60I...ature=youtu.be
the cresendos do sound new even if the backing 2 chords are from Wonderous stories.. Again it could be something more or maybe not...
Just was re-listening to the westbury show and wanted everyone's 2 cents.
my take
Alan's bit sounds brand new geoff's sounds like just Geoff having fun.
The Current lineup is Chris Squire Alan White Geoff Downes Steve Howe and Jon Davison and according to Geoff Downes who told me personally they WILL RELEASE A NEW ALBUM NEXT SPRING. END OF DISCUSSION
B.D.O.E.S
They're just improvising. The intro to WS was just Geoff adding his own intro to the song. He's even added some new sounds and textures to the FFH suite.
You're reading too deeply into this.
Someone has too much time on their hands!
?? You like Union better than TFTO .... Are you feeling Ok ?
Good with God

Yeah I wouldn't get "too" excited about this revelation. Anyone remember the bit that Rick did before Awaken during those '77 tours? They never developed that bit. Personally I thought it had some wonderful potential...
White is just playing a basic rhythm. It's not comparable even with the pre-"Mind Drive" fragment. It's nothing.
