    My life goals...

someone on a thread told me to get a life... and since i just created yet another thread on the next yes album I figured I'd post this thread so people can see I do have a balanced healthy life... kind of

the top 10 things I hope to do/acomplish before the next yes album

    1. Get a full time job the pays above 40,000 a year... this is number 1 and something I have been working hard at my dream job, Selling church ware to churches fell through sadly so I am not giving up hope. I know there is a job out there but I have started looking into job's i am not too happy with recuiting for a temp firm for example sure it's 35,000 base plus comisssion so idealy I could make 45,-50,000 but still it's essentially getting people better jobs then you will get.

    2. Move out! I know exactly where I want to live when i unwrap the new yes album and put it inot my computer/cdplayer and listen to it this great apartment complex in Stamford not here at my house. I do think with the Job above i will get it (for those who know CT yes I have no problem moving further away from the recruiting job then i live now why because stamford is a fresh blank page that has nothing to do with my past in any way shape or form)

    3. Get over katy and get a new gf Yes i am still hung up and beat up over my ex gf and yes it still hurts and yes her after relationship personality has made me feel very ugly (which i will bring up in point 4) but I am still hopefully there is a cute blonde girl with an amazing smile and a heart of gold who not only knows but would have no problem saying every day "I love you your an amazing guy" before people say dream on Hey i know there will be fights and she will get angry at me but I also know that the good will always out weigh the bad.

    4. Lose weight part of that whole I feel ugly when i listen to the next yes album I want to look well like Trevor Rabin circa 1983... I kid I kid seriously though I am 190 now (way down from begining of the year at 215) but I wanna see how low can I go my goal weight 175 of tone muscle but we'll see what happens

    5. Play more guitar and even play live.. God it's been forever since I play live at a club or bar I miss it so much that yeah definitely want to do that before I hear yes again maybe even play some yes and have it show up on youtube in Chris squire's inbox so when Steve Howe retires.... Perhaps I have said to mcuh (insert evil laugh) seriously though i wanna play live

    6. Graduate with my masters. I am 2 semesters away nearly done and while it's tough I want graduate in the spring with my masters. nothing more to say really

    7. be more organized.. pretty self explantory.

    8. See yes live with a pretty girl next summer if they play here I am gonna have the Matt brown Keys experience... what is the matt brown keys experience bring cute girl (or meet cute girl) at yes concert see awesome yes show then have fun in hotel room...Matt you have inspired me my friend!

    9. See Skyfall Ok so i am running out of goals to post but the move looks good and I want to see it

    10. Just enjoy life... this summer was such a dark depressing time I wanna have more fun!

So there ya have it see I do have a life and goals!
The Current lineup is Chris Squire Alan White Geoff Downes Steve Howe and Jon Davison and according to Geoff Downes who told me personally they WILL RELEASE A NEW ALBUM NEXT SPRING. END OF DISCUSSION

Take care of 4 and 6 and the others will take care of themselves. Trust me.

    'nuff said.

I will add an 11, which I am serious about. You'll need to improve your grammar in the real world. Take a breath. Write how you speak and use commas. There should be pauses in the flow of your message.

    Re: My life goals...

Good luck with your goals. Even if only some of them come true, it is better than not having any goals at all. I can't emphasis that enough. Don't let Katy make you feel ugly; look at it this way, I'm guessing that you look now much as you always looked give or take a few pounds. Whatever her reasons for breaking up with you are, they are not looks related. Why would she have gone out with you in first place if you were not attractive to her? In my clumsy way, I am trying to say that nobody breaks up with somebody they chose to go out with because of their looks. It's usually something else.
Don't get hung up on your looks because of her. You're barking up the wrong tree. Whatever it is, it's not that.
If you want to take better physical care of yourself, that is good and fine and good luck with it, just don't think you're ugly or anything like that because of your ex-girlfriend breaking up with you.

Hey, but life is life. I've been heavy at times and I'm fairly certain my ass was ditched for a more toned dude at some point. I can sugarcoat it, but in truth, sometimes they most assuredly leave for ass that's in better shape.

I try to work out fairly regularly.

May I also ask whether you've been playing Yes in the absence of Katy?...I told you, young man, "Lay off the Yes." You need music now that is different and dynamic and moves your ass. Then slowly, ever so slowly, go back to Yes.

You're entering a new phase. You need to be new. Here, how does this apartment treatment look for you, the new, shiny bachelor?:

...and you'll need one of these too. Yes, she'd be a rental, but hey:

OK, but what if your ass has been the same throughout the duration of the relationship? That ass attracted her in the first place, it hasn't changed, she has. No point saying, 'She has dumped me ergo my ass is ugly'. That ass is the same ass it has always been.

    what up Rabin..

your passion for yes is wonderful- and I hope you do well with the goals.

all I know is that if you had a candy-floss and toffee apple stand at yes concerts I would drop a $50 on the spot just for the fun of it :)

    #10 should be your #1, Danny. :-)

Anything to do with the church is a lose, lose situation. Churches are a scam, best you start your own and screw stupid people out of their money. ;-)

Oh, no. I'm merely saying it's quite possible. Maybe because his ass (literally and/or figuratively) hasn't changed, that she left. I dunno. I've seen people leave other people for really ridiculous reasons too. He sounds like a nice enough guy, but for whatever reason, right?....

Point is that he needs to handle #4 and #6 and he'll have more ass than he knows what to do with.

Assuming chicks dig his disposition too. I say, sure, try to get her back for a little bit, promise you'll change, yadda, yadda, yadda, then screw it. Work on yourself and voila, the world can be your oyster.

Ain't nothing 99% of us here probably haven't had to go through.

    Re: My life goals...

Danny, I'm just trying to be a friend. I'm the friend who does it this way. I do not mean to diminish your feelings, etc. Quite the opposite. I will say though, that you're gettin' all the chicks to respond to you. So, in a way, I'm learning from you.

Did I ever tell you guys (sniff, sniff), that I once had a dog named Pepper? I loved Pepper. We played together, throwing the ball, fetching the ball, hugging and squeezing. Pepper was my everything. Good and bad, Pepper was always there for me, from when I was a kid and then as a teenager.

...but Pepper got old. Pepper couldn't do the things he used to. I had to clean up for Pepper. I had to force Pepper outside to go to the bathroom...sometimes he made it, sometimes he didn't. I'd complain, "Why do I have to clean up after him?" When Pepper got old, I grew impatient. I went out with my friends

...We had to put Pepper to sleep. Every now and again I think of Pepper. I have a few really nice pictures of me and Pepper though the years....and I shed a tear, for a moment.

(true story...waits for some women here to offer support)

Looks almost exactly like Pepper, although Pepper's rib did not stick out. Yes, he was a wolf -German Sheppard hybrid we got as a pup when we lived in Alaska. Pepper traveled by car from Alaska to Massachusetts.

Lose weight? Find a form of physical exercise you like, and at your age, that will take care of itself.

Just keep working, and keep your eye on the ball as to what you're good at. The economy blows. Lots of people are out of work and underpaid. I'm making less than I did in 1997.

As to the ex...sex is the best to get over an ex, and as much of it and as varied as possible. She will be less powerful in your mind. Better to love a woman for who she is than because you're not proficient at getting tail, and she's the one that gives you some.

I totally agree that being in good physical shape is a positive thing in getting female attention and it's always a good thing to work on it and you are right about #4 and#6, but nobody should get hung up on feeling ugly because somebody who went out with them has dumped them. But, getting more attention from other women and feeling better physically-which exercise provides-is good motivation.

Although I once went out with a guy who told me I was getting fat (I weighed 9.5 stone-quite OK for my 5 feet 4 inch height) who then went on to go out with a girl who weighed at least 14 stone. I'm not being fattist at all; I'm not judgemental about her weight-just saying that you can't always take other people's word for why you get dumped seriously. They lie and you may develop a hang-up about looks that are not based in truth.
