i've recently been lobbying some folks to look at bringing Yes downunder again for our late summer (Feb - March) so that would tie in nicely.

The next Yes live album recorded at Sydney Opera house would be quite a dream(time).

Me neither. Not a fan of Asia. It amazes me how such accomplished musicians can produce such mediocre music.

    Re: So what's next?

another one of those posts if you hate speculation and hate my exuberance don't read it T has a lovely little thread where you can ask her stuff and she will respond with humor and delight GO TO THAT THREAD really it's nice.

Based on Downes new comments and well how yes usually operates I would imagine yes's next steps to go like this

continually exchange tapes and ideas via email and such during the fall while also working on other things tours and such

    December announce South American tour

January-early march south American tour (perhaps with To Be Over and changes added to the setlist) Tour is a success continue to flesh out the ideas from last year on the road during sound checks this is when rumors about material starts to surface and possibly a title or two gets leaked.

go into the studio Late march - Mid June record write re record

July-September Yes Asia North american tour

Mid September -mid october finish album mixing etc

November first Single off new album is released (it goes to number 1... i wish)
Late november early December New album is released (best birthday present EVER)

Winter European tour to promote new album.

January 1st 2014 Chris mentions "we might do another album" Rabin 105 creates thread everyone groans but secretly smiles as they love the build up to.

Summer 2014 yes north american tour again to promote new album

So, would you say that as you are consuming all that spicy Asian food, you're enjoying the heat of the moment?

    *drum snare*

Anyhow, I love Asia- the band. One of my all-time favorite groups. Continent might not be bad either, never been there, couldn't say. Chinese and Thai food are great, though.

I think they are in a perfect position right now to get ready for a new album in 2013.

Squire, White, Davison writing and riffing while Howe/Downes are on the road. Downes and Howe getting exited to return to Yes with some of their ideas to bring to the table too. Picking the best ideas, writing and arranging all together (with Horn) in early 2013, and I think they'll have a bunch of new, and old ideas to pick from! Plus the new energy Juano brings will be something a bit new and different...

I sense they really understand him, and he really understands them. But I hope he does bring a more modern edgy flavor to the table! I sense he is up for quite an adventure...

    Re: So what's next?

I wouldn't mind laying money on the possibility that the next time Yes tour they play a new song, whether they've recorded anything new or not by that time.
