It seems the link Pete posted from Apple was very helpful. Even though I had tried to line up my sight with the upper portion of the screen, due to my bifocals I would need to tilt my head up to read the upper portion. I tried with good old drug store reading glasses and it helps a lot. I can just glance up with my eyes.
If/when I ever get any money I'll shop for a new desk as well, maybe I can find one that's recessed a la Tasia.
Yes, that drop down desk is the ticket. Keep your eyes on the classifieds - my wife found a desk for her jewelry making when a school was remodeling. She got this big oak monstrosity for peanuts.....
