Close to The Edge is all around perfect.
To me, the first side of FOOW is better than the second. But seriously, an excellent album. And considering Bruford and Moraz contribute to it, almost seems like a lost Yes album!

While IMO at least FOoW is by far the strongest of any of the solo/outside projects by the Yes men, leaving KC aside... It simply doesn't come close to the granduer that is Close to the Edge... Of course nor does a good portion of the Yes catalogue... CTTE is across both sides the strongest in total of any Yes album.... IMO at least![]()

I'm not sure who's more dangerous, the band or the fans.....
Well, on any given day I'd be more apt to listen to FooW just because I'm less burned out by it... but while it's a great album and one of my favorites ever I would still ultimately have to say the CttE is the greater album. It's all sort of a pointless academic exercise to me really...
Seriously? FOOW is quite a good Yes-related album - some nice stuff on there - but nowhere near the great Yes albums, and CTTE is one of the greatest.
Then according to the man who showed his outstretched arm to spaceHe turned around and pointed, revealing all the human raceI shook my head and smiled a whisper, knowing all about the place.
