It's the wimmin's footy final day. Cracking game on the BEEB'S interactive channel right now between Japan and USA. Some wonderful skills on show. 1-0 to the Yanks at half time though it could easily have been 3-3. Second half just kicking off now.

Shaming programme about Help for heroes on Newsnight. Doesn't seem right to me they're spending a fortune of buildings & facilities are only accessible to serving soldiers etc, not also to those who are discharged thro disability incurred during the course of their service. Its very shoddy to say the least.

I dunno - i'd've been in me pram! I'll have to ask me mam!
Edit: Apparently we went there for an evening picnic - but I was sub 3 yo! I later met a lady in the village where we moved in Sussex who was named after it. What she would make of being remembered in a forum dedicated to UK Progressive rock band, one can only ponder! #fascinatingfacts...

Fascinating indeed, Marc. And to think there are still some people who think this thread is all about football.... Ha!
Speaking of which...did you see the attendance for the formality second leg of the Channel 5 Cup pre-qualifier thingy the other night at Anfield?
Over 43,000. Pretty amazing. My brother and his missus went to see it and he said there were definite good, promising signs of what hopefully BR has in mind for the future LFC style of play. They were impressed - just have to remember the class of opposition though. And still no place for Andy Carroll. Obviously not in the manager's plans since he isn't even giving him a chance to impress. A shame, that.

And I also hope they don't let Daniel Agger go to City. He finally came into his own last season. Now if only he can just stay clear of those nagging injuries that have blighted his career so far.
