Cargo of diamonds as you are: nothing more valuable, nothing more tough.
She's an equal opportunity offender, a societal wildcard. You can't control her, only hope to contain her, even then she refuses to be possessed. If she were a coin, you would spend her, unwillingly. If she were an animal, you'd free her to the wilderness.
O:A! is in my top 5, for sure. Even though the end was a total cop-out. I think my absolute fav might be Doomsday Machine.
Great minds and all that.
The local Polish variation of potato pancakes that they sell at church picnics are called blinis except they add an "e" or two to the spelling, I can't remember what exactly. (Looked it up - they usually spell it "bleenies".)
I always envision that the next day after that episode on the Enterprise where the ship's cafeteria had an all-you-can-eat special on potato pancakes.![]()

I'm really looking forward to 'Spock's Brain'. For comedic value more than anything else. Crikey, they ALL deserve Oscars for keeping a straight face!!
The TV programme:
Coronation Street= long-running British soap opera first shown in the 1960s and created by man from Lancashire, England .
The group:
Yes...

Ah. Now. Original Series Star Trek - or as I call, the Documentary Series. Because it's not sci-fi, it's real. Don't you understand?? It's real....
Favourite espisodes - City on the Edge of Forever (because it was just stunning, and made a huge impression on me), Operation: Annihilate! (which had me genuinely shocked when Mr Spock went blind, then feeling like I'd been emotionally cheated when he wasn't, thanks to a Vulcan third eyelid thingy), and Devil in the Dark because of the mummy horta. I also have a soft spot for Metamorphosis, because it's very beautiful, especially the bit where she looks through her shimmery veil. And Captain Christopher Pike in the re-jigged pilot episodes. Because Jeffrey Hunter was the hottest man ever to have lived.
